We've done nothing to bridge the gap between us and the 4 sides that finished above us last season
What gap are you referring to there mate?

Don't you know we're the best club in the world and all others, especially those bloody rivals who win stuff are jokers, no matter if they make cup finals and finish a couple points behind us or 30 odd points above us, just shut up and accept the truth of our greatness.

Unbelievable

Some of you lot really are complete bellends. I come in here looking for transfer news, see it has progressed a few pages more than usual and get excited.

What do I get instead: analysis of whether Anthony Gordon is a thicko or not, which posters are the funniest, someone being accused of sucking off chelsea, someone being called a virgin.

It means exactly what it says.

I want them to be foundational building block pieces for that money, not immediately bought over. Solanke is a clear sign that the club does not trust Richarlison as our starting striker and everything we did this summer indicates that the club desperately wants an upgrade at RW.

That’s the thing… our market activity (purchasing an expensive replacement in direct competition for their position) has already shown that they are!

Not sure I 100% agree -

People were rightly talking at the beginning of the window about wanting to put an end to buying backups and buying players to compete directly with others in their positions. No more first team and backups - everyone should be good enough to start for Spurs in any competition if they are in our squad.

Not sure the people at the club agree with you - Kulu is obviously being moved centrally which opens up a position at RW to compete with Johnson.

Either way, I appreciate the back and forth on this - I think this season will show us exactly how this squad is thought of and whether or not we have wasted some serious cash on players we are trying to dump after a couple of seasons. Like I said in my earlier posts 15 G&A combined for both Richy and Johnson last season cemented their place in the squad for this season - fluke, one offs, however people want to dress up how and why they got those returns, they did and to me anyway, it's clear the club see them as important players in the squad this season because of it.

Its TFC forum mate - of course we are - no one else would have us.

I’ve not been here for long but that’s a fair summary there

Fair enough, and I wouldn't disagree. Data is all well and good for giving you background but, as you say, actually seeing a player play is just as important.

I might give him a look from last season.

Was impressed with him going forward last season a few times that I watched Luton. Good feet, great at crossing though his defending was a bit suspect at times.

Perhaps that's what stopped any prem team going in for him

Attacking wise, we've probably not bridged the attacking gap to Chelsea or Newcastle who both finished below us but scored more goals (and who's XG's were higher) than us.

Chelsea already had Palmer, Jackson, Mudryk, Madueke, Sterling, Nkunku and have added Neto, Felix and are maybe adding one more. Likewise Liverpool are looking to add to their already superior attacking group.

What attackers have Newcastle , Villa, Woolwich bought?

An accurate representation of the transfer gossip thread, fair play
