I’m fine with KWP. He’s club trained which is crucial for entering Europe, not home grown which is different. We need 4 club trained guys which after selling Kane was going to be a stretch.

Importantly he plays the inverted position well and is actually almost equally good in both LB and RB. Is it exciting no but he'd be genuinely useful and also cheap.

Honestly the worst part of our attack right now for me is when Porro and Udogie are out- not because we lack defense but because Emerson and Davies are subpar attackers at their respective positions. KWP would actually be a legit attacking threat in our system and can play either side to boot. Just add KWP and keep Davies as a LCB/LB depth option next summer and we are set on fb/CB depth. Emerson could possibly still even be kept too as a 3rd RB/5th RCB depth option.

Against weaker sides KWP might be able to perform a lot better than we think and really shred them, which would be nice to have vs Luton Town / Forest of the league rather than Emerson or Davies.

Our fullback role is pretty hard to recruit for as not many teams play the system. We are always kind of recruiting players we will have to convert from fullbacks.

As both Udogie and Porro were originally wingbacks, maybe we should be looking at teams that play with those to buy and then work with to play that position?

Spurs are apparently after Jacob Greaves (Hull). Left-footed CB.

Very good player easy PL level l. I don't think he's top 4 level however and can't see him moving to us to sit on the bench. As a 4th choice CB

Carries and passes the ball very well for a CB and can also play LB also

I think our fourth choice centre back should probably be someone who's capable of also playing full back tbh.

Can see why wed be linked with Lloyd Kelly.

Totally agree. If we want to really improve then we can’t just bring in back ups that are lower end PL players. Makes no sense at all. That’s like saying we might as well keep Sess! Fuck that

Been framing it this way in my head.

Our squad needs to have

Starting Quality

and

Stars.

Not every player will ever be a star, every one of them needs to be starting quality. Zero point signing any player that we don't expect to be good enough to force their way into our starting 11.

Ange has a good record with signing full backs for his system, to be fair. Brought in Josip Juranovic at Celtic who was brilliant, then replaced him with Alistair Johnston who looked an upgrade. Johnston's form has gone downhill since Ange left precisely because his attributes suited Angeball to a tee, but not so much the traditional full back role.

Dragusin is the perfect example of how we should be approaching depth and squad expansion.

Has Kelly go the chops to play like a MFer when in possesion?

.........Any previous he has wing-bombing isn't really a great deal of relevance to us.
