Because they're contributing factors. But as a complete package Kvara isn't in Ndombele's bracket at all, he's in the one above.

I'm not even coveting him FFS. My post was to the idea that signing a Kvara wouldn't be out of character for us when it very obviously would, we've never signed someone like him before. I don't think we can get him anyway but that isn't the bloody point.

60m / 200kpw is pretty much the same given footy inflation.

It’s very silly. The figures are secondary and complete guesswork anyway. The point was we’ve never signed a player like Kvara before. Ndombele still doesn’t meet that mark. That shouldn’t be controversial.

It’s not a complaint or an attack at the club, it’s just a stated fact that signing Kvara would be a shift in our strategy.

You come into the transfer forum and say crazy shit about the club signing top tier talent for the type of money it requires and the same people always find a way to turn it into a pedantic war of semantics.

If it was a fact you'd have something else as the basis of your argument instead of the flawed one you used.

Kvara wants a bigger club = nothing to do with THFC strategy in the upcoming window.
Kvara would cost the (inflation) equivalent of us buying Ndombele = It's within the realms of our will to spend.

Ndombele wasn’t in the same category of player as Kvara is now. That’s all I care about and it’s absolutely true. Kvara has a much bigger profile.

What his wages/fee were are just fucking guesses, I imagine it would be more. I don’t really care what we paid Ndombele, he was never as big profile wise at all.
