Yeah no doubt. Ndombele was the biggest and most exciting signing we’ve ever made as a club, he was quite high profile.

Kvara is the step up from that. He’s Wirtz tier where you’re talking a top, top prospect who already players for a ‘tier B’ club.
Wirtz is a step up from Kvara imo. Wirtz is unattainable for sure.

As for Kvara; what price is he available at and are any other top clubs after him? PSG is the only one I can think of who will have a gap at LW this summer.

If Napoli sell Oshimen this summer (as most seem to think) then they won’t sell Kvaratskhelia in the same window.
In fact, Napoli are supposedly working on a new contract.

Fantastic dribbler and can play in midfield as well as LW, why big meh?

Never been hugely sold by his productivity. Find he tends to drift in games

He’s a good player but not that step up we need imo. I don’t think he’ll ever be much better than he is now, unlike a Simons who has lots of room to grow.

Olise is the Palace player I’m most impressed by, but against the injury record is poor. Eze is fun and a baller but not convinced he’s that step up.

They’re both unattainable for us to be fair, but yeah Wirtz is probably the most high profile young talent in the world who isn’t already at a tier 1 club.

Fuck knows - probably 100m plus. If he was available I imagine a handful of the elite clubs would circle.

He’s most certainly not even close to as good as Grealish was in his final Villa season, so maybe there’s something in the wankhorn levels.

Last year, playing for a vastly, vastly inferior side his output pissed Grealish's, and it was only 2 goal/assists short (10g 4A) of Grealish's best ever Villa season (6g 10A), so hardly "not even close"

I think he's more versatile than Grealish too, you can play him all across the front, and as an 8. And he won't cost 100m either.

I think he'd definitely produce playing in our team.

Grealish has been Pep’d/declined. What he is now isn’t what he was then. And yeah, it’s not very close when you consider Grealish played 12 less games in the 16 g/a season due to injury and still out-produced Eze…

He’s not a bad player. I wouldn’t necessarily be against the signing I just think other names on the list’ excite me more in terms of what they can become. Eze was more exciting to me a few years ago but I really haven’t seen him notably improve in any area. Maybe because of the coaching at Palace.

I'd go as far as to say that the squad and Ange has exceeded expectations. Had we not lost silly games to Wolves and Fulham, we'd be sitting 2 points behind City; and 5 points off the top and well in the title race.

Fine margins make all the difference, and a couple of squad changes and next season we could really be in the hunt for the title.

Either Bissouma steps up and improves, or we need a new number 6.

Son isn't getting any younger so we will need a consistent striker option who can rotate - not just be a bench warmer for when Son gets injured.

Johnson is going to be a huge star.

Yeah, I hear ya. That Messi kid was lucky to survive his Pep years.

There was only about 400 minutes between those seasons by the way.

There's guys out there that excite me more, but I still think Eze would be a decent HG pick up, who would definitely bring something we don't have.

Pep has completely changed since the Messi years and Messi was obviously given a very different role because he’s Messi. Grealish was fucking amazing as a ball carrying, defensive wide player last season but it doesn’t lend to high production. Your boy Doku would be sat on 3 g/a in 1400 mins of footy if Bournemouth weren’t a thing. Even B.Silva (who I rate as one of the best in the league) has never been hugely productive.

Presumably because Grealish, when fit, did play every full 90. But having 12 more games to contribute in and 5 matches worth of game-time more is still very significant.

Bernado Silva plays mostly in midfield for Pep.

Not sure when Doku became "my boy" but he's 7 years younger than Grealish and having his first season in a new country. I was as surprised as anyone when City bought him as he'd always been a bit erratic, but looking at his metrics this season I see why Pep possibly went for him, his carries and passes into he box per 90 piss everyone else's in the league, and when you are playing against the bus every week, that has a value, even if the end product is still raw. His greatest value though is providing me with ammo to bust your wankhorn living balls with.

All players who play for Pep are "defensive" players - it took Grealish a year to learn he couldn't get away with the lazy shit he was doing at Villa. He his still an attacking player who always plays in the front three - and always has, Eze has spent quite a lot of time playing as an 8 for Palace (who create loads less than City). That said, Eze is also a bit wanting in the off ball stuff.

Grealish is OK, decent on a good day, but has never been "Amazing" at anything. He's the archetypal wankhorn. Hyped up a few years ago by English pundits (and himself) who wankhorn themselves into a frenzy over any kid who can take more than three touches at a time.

That's a misleading claim. No way on earth - regardless of 433 or 4321 - that Eze was anything other than the most attacking/furthest fwd player of the MF3 and playing alongside 2 other more DM-minded players.... He's an AM pure and simple.

This is Hodgson-ball were talking about.

..........And a #8 that's "a bit wanting in the off ball stuff" is for the most part a liability. No manager's gonna swallow that.

(Interestingly whilst digging around..... Although people wanna sell the idea that he's equally as comfortable on the wing so would be a viable solution there for us...... He's played 13 / 252 games on the wing in his entire senior career..... We're spitting distance from "VDV is also a LB" territory here!)

In other news (re-post courtesy of Legacy Lilywhite Legacy Lilywhite ).......

Lazy cunt's pissed away another loan.

Agree but I don’t think he’s a G-A man…. He gets on the ball in the middle third and controls a game and glides into the final third. Would blend with Johnson
