You asked a simple question, I gave you a simple answer

Nah we just don't agree and that's fine.

At the end of the day you've conditioned your brain that we're not signing Toney and the very thought of us doing that upsets you, I get it...hence the reason why you're using backwards logic and making up completely disingenuous arguments about him so I refuse to take your bad faith argument seriously.

I'm stating a fact that Toney is far less of a risk than two young players who haven't stepped foot in the Premier League, we've seen young strikers with reputations in Europe come into this league before and flopped, that's not to say that will happen but there's literal evidence that it could happen.

And let's be real your track record of predicting young strikers who you think would light up this league is crap, whatever happened to the Nigerian striker, the one who's nuts you were all over last Summer who played in Belgium? I don't see you mention him anymore, why is that?

Waffle.

I’m a Spurs fan, I’d love to see my club win the premier league.

Ivan Toney doesn’t get us any closer to that.

Maybe the higher level players from outside the premier league have an element of unknown because they haven’t played here but they at least have the potential to take us up a level.

I’m guessing you’ve just come back to the forum to post against signing Eze and make the case for Toney because you fancy a bit of trolling so fair enough.

You are a Weasley little cunt for it though

Well this is not very nice is it? :(

Me having an opposing opinion to you according to you is trolling, Good Lord, who made you the main character in here?

If you're a Spurs fan hanging your hopes on players who haven't played in the league in the hope of winning it is incredibly stupid, let's just call it what it is.

You can say any player who plays abroad has potential but that's all pie in the sky speculative crap - until they actually come to this league and play here you can't make an argument that they are less of a risk than a player who has played here and scored goals, only someone who is hung up on the fact that they don't want Toney or maybe just thick or perhaps both would argue anything different.

Still conveniently ignoring the Gift Orban thing, the player who you wouldn't stop going on about around this time last season, a player you thought could replace Harry Kane (lol), well seeing as you're ignoring him here's some stats for you since transferring to Lyon in Ligue 1:

Games: 13
Goals 1
90 mins completed 0
Games started: 5
Yellow cards: 1

He has the same amount of booking as he has goals.

You need to either sack your scouting staff or just accept that you don't know what you're talking about.

To be honest the Premier League argument fits perfectly when we had the Steve Hitchin set-up and prem experience was probably essential as we didn't know what the fuck we where doing. Now with Lange, the data driven approach and Paratici still around I trust whoever we buy be it Gyokeres, Santaigo or Toney will be based on detailed analysis that probably means it doesn't matter to much where or who they played for. Obviously and sadly price will be a factor but even then I expect the profile will be fine.

Haaland had never played in the premier league.

Tbh you are going on ignore. Hate doing that as well.

It's good to have you back shady

You're the lifeblood of this forum

Levy is really trying to pull the wool over fans eyes if he attempts to replace HK with likes of Ivan Toney or similar. Get your money on the table for a worthy replacement not an aging Toney who is bang out of form. Much rather take a risk on a younger striker like Sesko or Openda.
Its frustrating as more than anything else, we are desperately in need of badass WINGERS. Richarlison/Son/Veliz/Parrott is fine with me as long as we get 1 or 2 talented WINGERS in. I guess Werner can be that second one "like a new signing" but good lord if we do not move for one top Angeball style winger this summer I really have no idea what is even the point of appointing Ange coach at all.

By the way, Santi Gimenez started for MX in their match vs Brazil last night. He was very active in the press, winning back a couple nice balls. Mexico generally were outplayed while he was on the pitch though and he didn't see much of the ball in open play. Other than his athletic pressing I didn't really see anything out of him that would indicate he'd be effective in the Premier league. He didn't seem to be anything special in the air.
