Yeah loan is best, was having a laughIt's much better to loan him out. Buy-back clauses only works if the player agrees to return. What if he want to join another club instead?

New deal wouldn't stop him leaving. We'd just pay him more money every week til he did go. And it wouldn't even increase his selling price by that much.
You wanna keep Romero? Money is important, sure. But so is winning. Surround Cuti with guys he believes will help him lift trophies at Spurs and he's staying.
FIFYTbhifwe aren't a serious club and don't build a team that can really challenge
Best deal we could do this summer is tying him down to a 5 year2 years left on his deal. We should be alright this summer but if he doesnt sign a new one we're a bit stuffed.
Why don’t we just sell Royal but keep Spence as back up? I wonder with a summer under Ange if he could pass musterI don't see why Geertruida would come to us to play second fiddle to Porro when he can go to clubs that win stuff and start. Makes zero sense.
Vanderson: good player and will defo improve, lad's got plenty time on his side but...he missed a big chunk of last season through injury so here's a concern. Also, 30 or so mil for a backup to Porro? And for a guy who'll travel 1000s of miles a few times a year to play for Brazil? I'd wanna say thanks but no thanks. I guess it's real hard to find a young English lad as good + same potential as him for less money...
Whether it's true or not remains to be seen but, unfortunately, if Real M. wants a player- and he does not play Barca - in 99 out of 100 cases they get him.
They got Bale and Modrić in the past, and they know that Spurs' players (who play regularly), if they have "right" talent, they also have a the right attitude to make it at Real M.
Thus said, one can't blame Romero if he want to join Real M. and win things.
PS! According to Transfermarkt his contract expires summer 2027 - so 3 years left.

Whenever a transfer is on the table, players have convos with their potential new gaffer and gametime is one of the main topics, if not the no 1. Also, players do their due diligence and check out the squad they'd be joining, who they'd be up against for a starting spot. So Geertruida would know of Porro & Cuti (plus Drag) even before engaging with Ange...and I somehow don't see the big fella, who prides himself on brutal honestly, telling the new kid on the block he'd start ahead of Porro or Cuti, who played the most mins last season.
My second point was my strongest anyway. For sure that kid would get better offers from shinier clubs. But yeah...we beat Bayern to Radu and Bergvall to Barca...
Well said. Real generally get who they want if not straight away then eventually. Give ourselves a fighting chance by building a title challenging team. A new contract just keeps his value, if he really wants out he'll just do the same as Berbatov, Modric and Bale.New deal wouldn't stop him leaving. We'd just pay him more money every week til he did go. And it wouldn't even increase his selling price by that much.

If Real Madrid come knocking, everyone’s a selling club.3 years left.
No chance he leaves this summer. Do need to try and nail down a new deal though.
Not happy but not as unhappy as having that Brazilian joke as our 9 next season with Son flouncing about as back up againSo, if Emerson is sold you're happy only having Porro covering the RB spot for the whole season![]()

As you say, no chance he leaves this Summer. I think we get another two years out of him and he leaves with 12 months left.
I don’t think he will sign a new deal although it depends how much money we offer him.
"Look mate, you go get a haircut then maybe you'll start a few matches for us. That shitty bun makes you look a right Sheila on meth."What did Ange tell Dragusin when he spoke to him about his role here?
They've got LankshearThey can have him for 5 mil. Develop him nicely for a couple years or so, turn him into a 30 mil kid...when we bring him back for 10 using our magic buy-back clause. Cheers Boro
Pay him as much as (or even more than) Sonny, insert a release clause of circa 60-80 mil, and I betcha he signs it.I don’t think he will sign a new deal although it depends how much money we offer him
Connor Gallagher might be the most boring transfer saga of all time. No one is arsed if we get him or not anyway.
I think that ship has sailed. The only manager who could get a tune out of him is Steve Cooper. I reckon as soon as he takes over at a PL or Champo club, he'll look to reunite. Why don’t we just sell Royal but keep Spence as back up? I wonder with a summer under Ange if he could pass muster
