No way, Cash is a lot better attacking and at least as good as Royal defending, it just happens he's a violent motherfucker and we hate him for injuring Doherty and Bentancur.
I don't want scum like that on my team. He should frankly be banned for some 12 games and if he doesn't clean up his act, banned from the league.

No room for utter talentless cloggers who just look to injure people.

He's like that talentless rudder on every team who went two feet in when he got dispossessed easily.

Calm down, mate, I was just kidding about buying him. But he's a better player than Royal.

Why on earth would we buy Frimpong when we have Porro? Who is pretty much better than Frimpong at everything bar perhaps ball carrying?! (and scoring goals in a dogshit league)

Better defensively, better in the air, better at passing the ball progressively..

Some people are playing Football Manager, I swear. Zero perspective

We could use an option that gives us something different. I don’t know how good in the air Geertruida is but basically a player like that who can get forward the way we need but also a more defensive player by nature that can help us at set pieces.

Walker and Trippier were different but equally good. That’s what we need. Frimpong is too similar IMO

It’s not a dogshit league , last seasons European competitions proved that .

Because two of the few good teams got far?

I'm sorry, but the quality of the league is fucking woeful. Two or three better teams doesn't change that fact.

Sure, Leverkusen, Bayern and probably Dortmund could compete in this league, the rest? Yeah, most are no better than a team like Crystal Palace and the others would do worse than Brentford.

It's fucking crap. I saw Bayern win 8-0, 8-1 and 7-0 last season ffs.

Tom Allnut article. Transfer round up on the outs. Richy and Bissouma could both also be sold if decent bids come in…

Tottenham Hotspur seek £21m for Emerson Royal as summer clearout begins

Tottenham Hotspur have told AC Milan they want £21million for their right back Emerson Royal as the club continue to shift players deemed surplus to requirements by Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs initially valued Emerson at £25million but have dropped their asking price to sell the Brazil defender, who made only 11 starts under Postecoglou in the Premier League last season. Milan hoped £15million would be enough to sign Emerson but there is optimism an agreement can still be reached.
Milan have shown interest in the Aston Villa full back Matty Cash as an alternative option, with Villa in a more precarious position than Tottenham regarding the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. Villa need to make a significant sale before June 30 to stay within the financial limits.

Spurs also face competition from Villa for Conor Gallagher, who has one year left on his contract at Chelsea and is yet to agree a new deal. Chelsea were looking for £50million for the 24-year-old in January but need to sell players this summer because of financial pressures. Tottenham are expected to push for Gallagher this month while Postecoglou, the club’s head coach, also wants key signings up front and in defence this summer.

Emerson joined Tottenham from Barcelona for €30million (about £26million) in 2021 but was on the fringes last season as Pedro Porro established himself as Postecoglou’s first-choice right back. The 25-year-old is keen to move this summer to play more regularly. Atletico Madrid were interested last year but Emerson elected to stay to fight for his place.
Atletico have renewed their interest in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with the Denmark midfielder among several players Spurs are looking to move. Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil and Djed Spence are expected to leave while Richarlison and Yves Bissouma could also be sold to raise funds if significant offers come in. Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga will be let go after the conclusion of their deals at the end of this month while Alejo Véliz is likely to go out on loan again.
Tottenham have also mutually agreed to terminate Tanguy Ndombele’s contract, five years after the club broke their transfer record to sign the midfielder for £55million from Lyon. That fee could have risen by a further £8million but the France midfielder is not believed to have activated various performance-related payments.

Postecoglou decided months ago that Ndombele would not be a part of his plans moving forward, leaving the club with a financial decision to make this summer. The 27-year-old had one year left on his contract but, given the lack of suitors and his £200,000-a-week wages, it made little sense for Spurs to wait another year before then letting him go for free.

Ndombele was considered one of Europe’s most talented young midfielders when he joined Tottenham in 2019 but, apart from a brief spell of good form under José Mourinho, he has been a big disappointment. Ndombele made 91 appearances for Spurs in all competitions, scoring ten goals, and has been out on loan during the past three seasons at Lyon, Napoli and then Galatasaray.

Correct. Too many have this perception that the premier league is the greatest. I don’t see it. It only has the most money.

The Premier League is (maybe was) the deepest league. Outside Sheff UTD anyone can lose to anyone because every team has physical beasts that run at you and kick you for 90mins and the officials like to even the odds with the way they whistle things at times.

If you aren't physically up for it, the premier league will punish you. In pretty much every other league, there are >5 teams you can afford to relax and put your feet up because you will win anyway. Players often pad stats against these teams as well.

What the premier league isn't is technically or tactically the best league. I'd say Italy and Spain both have a higher % of technically good players but nowhere near as many athletes. Italy now and traditionally Germany have more athletes but still not on a level with the prem.

RBL are better than anything out of our top 5. Villa lost to Olympiacos. It’s very hard to judge though. Are the likes of Brighton,Palace,Everton or a Man Utd better than Frankfurt,Werder,Hoffenheim or Freiburg?
