Sell Richy for 60, buy Gyok for 60 + 10-20 in perf-related bonuses. Even if/when you end up paying the whole 80 for the big Swede, really he's only cost you 20 mil...wages will be lower than Richy's too.

20 bags for him, the way he played for Sporting last year, the way he looks perfect for Ange's system? No brainer in my books.
Only a few strikers in the world back up a big scoring season with another big scoring season.
Is Gyökeres one that can?

Some of the takes on Son are unbelievable. Off the back of a season with 17 goals and 10 assists suddenly he is worse than Toney and off form because he missed a couple of chances in pre-season.
Spot on mate.
Sonny would be pushing Haaland for leading goal scorer if he played striker all season. His numbers on the wing are still great.
Yet he's constantly bagged on here by some because he doesn't dribble around defenders like Messi or hold the ball up enough.
He's a proven goal scorer over many years. Not one of these new fangled big money strikers that people want to bring in that have had one good season.

He is a proven goal scorer but no way is his best position as a lone striker.

I don’t ever want to see him in that role again, but fear we will be.

Selling Richarlison to bring in a 26 year old with 1 big season seems mad to me.

Maybe because he's got those blonde locks and boy band looks Ange seems to be into now, but people seem to think he's younger than he is.

He averaged ≈225M/G in the Championship for 3 years before last season.

I'd be happy to bring him in, but not letting Richarlison go to do it. He's a decent bet to flop.

gyokeres scored 21 goals in the championship the season before going to Sporting.

I don’t have a strong take on him because I’ve never really watched him but 2 seasons in a row with 20+ goals isn’t the signal of a flash in the pan

In 4,000 minutes, though. Championship stats can be inflated due to the number of matches.

At least we know he's sturdy.

Of course, may mean he's run out of luck regarding injuries and he's due to be crocked.

Hardly, Girona/Troyes are part of the City Group.
The shares that the City and United ownerships have in Girona and Nice have been transferred through independent trustees to a blind trust that will be supervised by the CFCB. Both Premier League teams have agreed not to transfer players, either permanently or on loan, from July 2024 to September 2025. Yet, City was allowed to bring in Savio. The tortured logic was that although Savio played for Girona
he was on loan from Troyes, who are also part of the CFG but, don't play in the Champions League. Contractually, Savio became a Troyes player once again when his loan at Girona expired on June 30. It appears to me UEFA bent over backwards to allow City to classify him as a Troyes player.

He did score 21 goals in the Championship but it was in 49 games which equates to around a 16 in a PL season. The season before he scored 17 in 45 games which equates to 14 in PL season.
I've not seen him playing for Sporting, only some at Coventry. He might come in and be an absolute gun for us scoring 25+. I'm just highlighting the risks with £85m players and that they are not guaranteed to score.
