It's still a pretty small sample size to conclude that he hasn't improved since Chelsea days. Last season he scored 2 goals vs xG of 3.7 for us - poor, but small sample size. If you include Leipzig stats for 22/23 and 23/24, he scored 13 from an xG of 15.2. (For Chelsea it was 10 from 18.2)

Why, he has exceed that in 2 of his last 3 seasons?
They changed the rules so that you can't amortise the fee longer than 5 years, even if the contract is longer (and you can't amortise over a period longer than the contract), but Chelsea have still given 8 year deals since the rule change, so it isn't just for FFP.
No single one of those players fixes our major issues.
Eze - Great competition for Maddison, adds the ability to take the ball under pressure centrally and goals from midfield. Could be an option on LW, adding the ability to hold onto the ball/for the ball to stick, but not the pace to progress the ball down the line and beat his full back.
Gyokeres - Adds pressing up front, the ability to hold onto the ball but I don't think his finishing is as good as other people seem to think, especially for the fee he would command.
Neto - Adds dribbling ability, the ability to hold onto the ball/for the ball to stick, the pace to progress the ball down the flank and beat his full back and good crossing ability. But doesn't press well, his crossing is usually floating not drilled across, he is a poor finisher, doesn't get in many good positions to shoot, so is a bit 1 dimensional and that's before you get to the injury concerns and massive fee.
I think despite the fact that our biggest issues are in the front 3, I would still pick Eze from these options, because I think if we sign Gyokeres or Neto, we will be looking for someone better/a better fit in a year or two and will have an expensive player that is hard to shift on the books.
sarr can hit a ball, granted a lot of the time the connection isnt great but the power is there.
Pressing and possibly running in a straight line.
Solanke started 37 of 38 matches last season, Richy started just 18
For me there is no shadow of a doubt who's better, especially with more games coming this season.
We need an injury free striker next season, i mean hasn't Richy been out injured already?
Doubt if Osimhen would want to come to Spurs but Gyökeres might with Kulu and Bergvall here already.
