The Enic mantra

Wear them down til they're on their knees praying for Jonathan Walters on a 6 month loan

Get me Emile Heskey out of retirement now Mr Levy

Wasn’t that keen on bring in Eze based on the fact that it would be difficult to play him and Maddison but with Maddison’s form this year he has not been playing well enough to start for us anyway

Winning teams make good players sit on the bench. If Bernardo, De Bruyne and Foden are in the starting XI for City then Grealish, Alvarez and Doku have to keep their tracksuits on. That’s how it has to be.

Hesitating to sign Eze because it might put pressure on a fickle player like Maddison makes no sense. Maddison is not special, he has played 10 good games for Tottenham. Has no right to expect a spot in the starting XI.

Eze is exactly what we need, he plays with courage, he’s dangerous and he’s proven in the PL. It can only be a good thing for us if Maddison is forced to step up his game. Competition brings the best out of everyone.

Levy has no desire to buy and pay good players who aren't playing.

I'm also starting to think he's getting nervous about Ang and not willing to spend money on him tbh.

Why would you bundle in his form after returning from injury with pre-season?

You can see why I was assuming you weren't doing that, right? right?

Because it’s a long time since Maddison has played well for us, how long do we persist with him playing like this?
I was hoping last season he was just slow getting up to speed from his injury? He got dropped from the England squad which would have hurt his pride I’m guessing? So I was expecting him to come into preseason firing and ready to prove a point, fuck we are even playing his former club in the first match.
