Pretty much every striker that isn't 100m+ is a risk. If they weren't a risk, they'd be demanding 100m+ for them, that's just the reality of things. Having multiple good strikers on the market for sane prices is better than the market has been in recent years.
Even £100m+ strikers are not that reliable. Omishen had 1 great season in his last 4.
25 games - 15 goals
32 games-26 goals
27 games - 14 goals
24 games - 10 goals

Paying big money for strikers doesn't guarantee you any goals.

Kit was fantastic, tho.

Pal, I don't agree with everything Honest John Honest John says and yeah sometimes it does get a bit repetitive the whole Levy stuff, but you do know he's no scout with access to mad in-depth data and all? I find them posts from you and another guy on here asking him to list players and detail their skills pretty lame to be honest.

Bar acting all superior, lecturing us all as the supreme authority on what can and cannot get posted on here, I don't see you share much footy knowledge either.

Nah mate.

You can't categorically shit on a player link because you don't like the guys name when you have zero idea of what they are like as a player just so you can make the same tired point over and over again.

It's one thing if you were just saying "I'm not impressed" but the consistency in which said poster does this has nothing to do with the players footballing ability.

It's not like I'm asking them to give me a PowerPoint presentation.... I'm asking when they have seen them play and why they don't think they would be a good fit for our team. Very, very, very basic questions.

I don't go crazy posting footie knowledge.... I can if you want, anyone can ask me if they disagree with anything I say but if I'm going to poopoo a potential transfer, it will be because I don't think they are good enough based on actually having seen them play

Solanke and Abraham are tremendously similar in terms of record , Solanke with some 270 games with 85 goals Abraham with 320 games and 127 goals.

Abraham is better aerially and a very good poacher , Solanke is better technically and a harder worker.
There is little between them ability wise but Abraham has just returned from an ACL injury. I would buy Abraham at £20m and spend the other £45m elsewhere.

Ruiz is the exact type of late window link we get every summer. Big ish name that big club wants to shift but never happens. He will end up at Inter or somewhere like that.

Based on the Euros he’d be a great pick up though
thats why i said "if"
would be like van der vaart transfer
i also joked like a month ago it would be cool to have the maddison twins play in the same team

This “money needed up front” BS bewilders me.

Just coz the selling club won’t accept installments doesn’t mean there aren’t hundreds of financial options available from Banks and the like to effectively loan you the money. Effectively tacks another 5-10% on the price.

So in reality it’s more a case of £60m upfront being more like £65m, but the upfront element is a misnomer.

Club probably won’t accept paying more than needed.

Let’s say we pay £28m up front and take £40m loan to pay Palace all of the £68m up combined. If we pay back £40m next year the interest will be £2-3m on top, if we spread it over several years could be £5-10m in interest.

I could imagine with us we wouldn’t do that. It would be seen as wasted money.

It's already 68m, so the question is whether we want to pay 75m for Eze.
