Looks like everyone is saying his transfer is part of our summer 2024 transfer window
He's also a long term target that fits the way we play.Fair point
Seems like fans have reached the desperation stage of let's just sign anyone on the market because they're good.
I think Maddison and Kulusevski will cover CAM, in attack our greatest need is a RW IMO.
Raphinia is on Euro 240K a week which is what 200K quid. His Barcelona salary would make him our highest paid player - (1) No way Levy signs off on that wage, (2) No way Raphinia takes a pay cut to come to N17 and (3) in any case, I don’t think he’s worth it.Been thinking about the RW sitch overnight. I still can’t see us spending money on that position after buying three other right wingers in the last 18 months, and with the likes of Moore knocking on the first team door - BUT - if we were to do any sort of business in that area, the best option I can find is Raphinha.
Would he leave Barca? Sounds like he wouldn’t be massively keen, but rumours are he’s been put up for sale and Barca REALLY need to sell and have interest in Reguilon and have even sniffed around Lo Celso in the past . . .
He proved during his time at Leeds in Bielsa’s system that he is more than capable at being part of a forward line that presses aggressively.
He’s left footed and likes to take on his man in 1 vs 1 situations and is lightning quick.
Has Premier League experience under his belt.
Scored as many goals in his last season (9) at Leeds in the EPL as Neto managed in 5 seasons combined.
Has a cool name.
So in conclusion, I can’t wait for another season of watching Johnson smash the ball over everyone’s heads and out for a throwing multiple times a game.
SC ITK Goat claiming we are after Hermoso on a free.
Pretty logical. Was a starting quality LCB and LB for Atleti just last year and would keep Romero happy.
Don't know if he's mobile enough for inverted FB but he's technically good enough.
Eze seems to be everybody's dream player.
Can't say I know anything about him, apart from what I read here about him. Maybe I have seen him some time, but he didn't leave a lasting impression.
What's he's strengths and what's he's best position?

Can't say Eze is some random "anyone on the market".
There is a case to be made that signing Eze means you can play him LW and move Son to RW. Would give is Maddison cover when he's not fit.
Very similar to Maddison, perhaps more consistent than Maddison but mostly an AM who can operate as a sort of false winger when needed. Quality player whenever I have seen him but not an out and out winger who constantly takes players on.
It seems like Doue and Neto were Ange's 1st and 2nd choice wingers and that Gallagher or Ramsey was his preferred midfielder choice. Moving to the 3rd or 4th choice doesn't look so enticing.

But something worth noting about our targets.
Neto on 50K a week a Wolves
Solanke on 70K for the Cherries
Eze on 100k for Palace
Doue on 10K a week in France.
Our beloved chairman will only bring in a player already on big wages if it’s a loan - Timo or if it’s on a free - Perisic.
So the Nico Williams, Osimhem- types and even the Raphinia types are not for us.
Rumors about our interest in these types of players can safely be ignored.
I think Neto was worth a shout - yes his hamstrings are made of Swiss cheese but with BJ and Mikey Moore as cover, I think it would have been worth the risk. Anyway rumors that we tried to hijack the Blue Scum deal at the end. IF true, I’m sure Neto had a good laugh when he compared our beloved cheap bald cunt’s offered wage packet versus the wages offered by Chavs.
Clearlake has six players on bigger wages than our highest paid player (Son). They provide a different lesson about owners and player wages - It’s not great to be a tight cunt like Levy but it’s arguably even worse to be stupidLong live Clownlake!
Yes there is a case for that. There is a case to be made that signing Eze means you can play him LW and move Son to RW. Would give is Maddison cover when he's not fit.
Not my set up just making the point.
Last season Eze got 11 goals and 4 assists in 27 games.
Madders managed 4 goals and 9 assists in 28 games.
Considering Madders was as useful as a chocolate kettle after his "return" from injury, there isn't much in it.
Not sure why there's so much clamouring for him.
Just asked her.
