I think Maddison and Kulusevski will cover CAM, in attack our greatest need is a RW IMO.

Raphinia is on Euro 240K a week which is what 200K quid. His Barcelona salary would make him our highest paid player - (1) No way Levy signs off on that wage, (2) No way Raphinia takes a pay cut to come to N17 and (3) in any case, I don’t think he’s worth it.Been thinking about the RW sitch overnight. I still can’t see us spending money on that position after buying three other right wingers in the last 18 months, and with the likes of Moore knocking on the first team door - BUT - if we were to do any sort of business in that area, the best option I can find is Raphinha.

He proved during his time at Leeds in Bielsa’s system that he is more than capable at being part of a forward line that presses aggressively.

So the Nico Williams, Osimhem- types and even the Raphinia types are not for us.
Rumors about our interest in these types of players can safely be ignored.
I think Neto was worth a shout - yes his hamstrings are made of Swiss cheese but with BJ and Mikey Moore as cover, I think it would have been worth the risk. Anyway rumors that we tried to hijack the Blue Scum deal at the end. IF true, I’m sure Neto had a good laugh when he compared our beloved cheap bald cunt’s offered wage packet versus the wages offered by Chavs.
Clearlake has six players on bigger wages than our highest paid player (Son). They provide a different lesson about owners and player wages - It’s not great to be a tight cunt like Levy but it’s arguably even worse to be stupid

There is a case to be made that signing Eze means you can play him LW and move Son to RW. Would give is Maddison cover when he's not fit.
Very similar to Maddison, perhaps more consistent than Maddison but mostly an AM who can operate as a sort of false winger when needed. Quality player whenever I have seen him but not an out and out winger who constantly takes players on.
Not sure what role he has in our team and what position either.
This is a dopamine hit of a signing, I'm sure it will make the fans feel good buy it you peel back the layers ot doesn't really make much sense.
Horrible setup
Last season Eze got 11 goals and 4 assists in 27 games.
Madders managed 4 goals and 9 assists in 28 games.
Considering Madders was as useful as a chocolate kettle after his "return" from injury, there isn't much in it.

Not my set up just making the point.
The issue isn't when Maddison is fit, it's when he isn't.
However, I can see a world where Ange has looked at Bergvall and Kulusevski and is less concerned about a rotation for Maddison now.
We still need a player who forces teams to defend us with the ball at our feet. We have the CF who forces CBs to defend him, if we get a 1v1 threat our front line is much much healthier than it was. If that's Eze, Adingra or whoever else they are cooking then at this point I don't really care.
