And relative to Jonathan David and Toney he was the premium option. What now.Relative to gyokores and osimhen I believe he was the cheapest option factoring in both wages and fee

Short term thinking. When Neto's out for two months you wouldn't prefer him to anyone. Odobert can be developed into the player we want, Neto will never be him, due to his fitness issues.Neto is injury prone, but I'd have preferred Neto and Eze to Werner and Odobert.
As for Solanke- as above, he was a cheaper option than Gyokeres etc. 65m is not record signing for the clubs we are competing for top 4 with.
Fair point- let's wait and see. My argument would be that we have a winger prospect in Moore already so it would make more sense to buy established wingers- even if Neto is injury prone.Short term thinking. Solanke cost us 25m more than Toney would've, I doubt the difference in wages between the two would cost that.Toney - it's obvious why nobody has gone for him and he wants 200k plus per week...
David - fair point
So we've gone for the second cheapest option
Oh dear god...
He'll be injury free long enough to score against us.Neto is injury prone, but I'd have preferred Neto and Eze to Werner and Odobert.

Son and Johnson are goalscorers, if they don’t score they don’t do much else.
Balance of our wingers isn’t right and we need Odobert to be great at general play (dribbling, pressing) to balance the situation. I have felt that Son and Johnson should never start/play a game together, it makes us lightweight. Start one of them.
Or we could just have pulled out all the financial stops and got a top draw winger in. It’s a fudge yet again, which will more than likely end up costing the manager his job.
Well yes of course, we will have to hope Odobert is the at the very least a perfect set of skills we don’t have to balance the attack but it’s a lot to put on him as a player.
Yeah but they are currently starters so that's the problem
Net spend of 60m for a team with CL/Title winning ambitions apparently...Gyokeres, Eze, Neto would have had a combined total of ~£200m.
Solanke, Odebert, Werner have cost a combined £85m.
So we have saved a lot of money- let's see how our season plays out now.

We are banking on a 19 year old Frenchman with 1 season at a relegated Burnley side. He’s played a year of prem football though. He’s not a rookie anymore.
Also played in the french league the year before, probably has played more top flight games than Palmer did before signing for Chelsea. We are banking on a 19 year old Frenchman with 1 season at a relegated Burnley side.
He may turn out to be great but it's hardly the gamechanging signing or backing of Ange that we all expected. Same old Levy.
