Only need a couple of more points to get Champions League…😂😂😂 assuming the teams who finished above us last year dont get more points than they had last season. Silly comment.
I’m assuming that the top three are so far ahead of us that only fourth is up for grabs. Doubt Villa have it in them to compete over multiple fronts. Doubt the teams below us last season improve enough to get to the high 60’s early 70’s point level to beat us to fourth. Call it silly if you wish, but makes perfect sense to me.

Those that we flogged were shit though. And yes we've replaced them with youngsters but they do appear to have very high ceilings so I do think the squad is in better shape generally.

The issue is we have only marginally improved the first XI (dependent on Solanke).

I suppose the thinking is that the drop off should be smaller now when we need to utilise squad players so over a season we should pick up more points.

But without a better first XI you can't go toe to toe with Pool, Scum and City and that's what is disappointing about the window.

Thought we needed two starting attacking upgrades this window. Solanke ok fine. But we needed more.

Look at the noise after drawing a game, no chance people are going to be patient, the moment we go on a bad run it will be unbearable and I don't think the board have the courage to stick by their man. Although there is no 'fan favourite' coach available to hire to keep the fans off their backs for a few months
Ange is a fan favourite.
Just because a concerted group of wrist slashers on Spurs sites weep and wail and moan does not mean that all Spurs fans feel the same.

We only need an extra couple of points this season to get 4th place and get that CL cash. I think we’ve strengthened enough to do that. It’ll take years to close the 25-30 point gap to become title challengers.

Hopefully we hit top four this season and give the cups a decent tilt. None of this playing reserves in the early rounds.
Doesn't work like that. Other teams will be better other teams will be worse.
The average over 10 years is 71, the last 5 is 69.
The issue is the number of teams competing for it is growing.

Chelsea, Newcat(e and United are already better than last season.

Brighton and West Ham the same.

Postecoglou won't survive the season if this is the squad at the end of this transfer window is my view.

It's less about talent. We are just too easy to unruffle.
I don't disagree about mentality.

But hope that as the season goes on, better consistency helps.

Ultimately because of the fixture list, we will have a pretty good idea of how the season will go in a matter of weeks. Losses to United, Brighton, Newcastle and Woolwich in the first 10 games will be pretty damning.

I'd be surprised if Newcastle and Man United don't improve considerably over last season given all the injuries they had.
On the face of it, United have recruited well. But we've thought that about them before and it hasn't worked, so we'll see.
