When did Spurs fans get like this?

Is it some fake humble thing that makes people want to big up their rivals?

Or they just hate the club that much that sucking off other teams feels good?

I get it for a club like Brighton or an underdog club but nothing could ever get me talking that way about chavski or the scum. Spammers neither. It goes against everything I know.

Club needs to win something and I mean at least an FA Cup. Fan mentality is shaped by the club and how it behaves hence why most Spurs fans demands attacking football it goes back to our roots far back as the 60’s.

Most of our recent history has been of a club that always fails at the end and does a ‘Spursy’. We are a bit limp dick and our fans have ended up the same as we know ‘winning is hard’.

Transfer windows: mostly not quite good enough

Finals: don’t quite get over the line.

Football strategy: mostly behind other sides like Pool or Arse.

Other clubs are the same.

Chelsea: spoilt by the pockets of Abramovich and Boehly and act like the rich kid who has never worked a day in his life.

Man City: Chav lottery winners who have to pretend they earnt it.

United/Arse: fans raised on the glory of Fergie and Wenger still can’t believe they are not top of the tree.

Liverpool: always somehow get the prize. Think they are god’s club. Expect success.

Club needs to change the narrative, the fans will follow. We start winning and fans will start crowing, almost happened during Poch, fans seems like we had destiny behind us for a brief period.

If we spent a billion and ended up with Toney and Neto as part of a front four, we'd all have every right to be fucking livid. As you rightfully know considering you said earlier in the window that both are "Redknapp type signings"

Even Felix is a bit shit.

Palmer is only shit that managed to stick to the wall.
Im not bigging up the Chavs here at all really. It’s well documented how much of a joke they are, basically the laughingstocks of the window every single time.

I’m just saying that spending £175m on Solanke Johnson and Richarlison is not much better.

Honestly the Johnson and Richarlison transfers are two of the worst in PL history.

Agree. I like the approach of buying youngsters and building as think its the only way we get progress under these owners but for every great young signing there is a Gil, Jack Clarke, Rodon, Sessegnon, Kyle Naughton, Chris Gunter, Callum Davenport, Andy Reid. John Bostock was a certainty to be great back in the day. I'd like to think Gray and Bergvall look a step up from most of those and our track record has improved in the last 2 years but not sure the expectation for almost instant success is fair on them.

Not sure that is sn endorsement.

You must have in cold storage to think that.

Morally appropriate??.......
We're putting them on a football pitch, not in a porn film.......
Some fans are putting them on more than a football pitch. They're pinning their hopes on these kids and forcing the responsibility on them to improve us.
All it takes is a few bad performances and the negativity will start and these kids become the next generation of scape goats.

So my point stands. Don't do it. Don't convince yourself they're the ones that'll move us on. Nobody knows that.

All true but no amount of disillusionment could ever make me start talking up those 3 clubs. It goes against everything I understand about football and being Spurs. It's just fucking pathetic to me.

If you want to say we aren't all that then knock yourself out, history is on your side really because ENIC haven't got a clue how to win things and have never really show that it bothers them that much to see their fans constantly the laughing stock. But they aren't Spurs to me. The players on the pitch and the coaches are. The fans are and you just can't find me talking us down and any of those cunts up. I don't care if they signed Messi in his prime. They can fuck off. Chelsea for example, if that club went bankrupt and stopped existing what about them would be missing from football? What do they actually bring as a club?

Again agree. Won't take long for you to be proven right. Wouldn't take too much to make us very good. I just don't get it which is the frustration.

I would be less irritated if we had stuck as were and just bought Solanke.

The kids need the right platform..

Chelsea are a stain, a corrupt money laundering stain on football. They deserve to be kicked out of football.

As for where they are and being real.

Arse: sadly and annoyingly Josh Kronke and Edu have backed Arteta like mad, they have build themselves into a Premier League Atletico Madrid or if you are being negative a Harrods Bolton Wanderers. Solid defence with boring but ruthless attack.

Chelsea: bunch of cunts. Team does now have lots of quality and Poch finally fixed them (even though he won’t get credit from their muggy fans for the job he did on those players). They have enough quality to be now a decent team despite the mess.

West Ham: bought really well but integrating all those players and changing the manager is a lot of work. Long term they look good if they keep that DoF they got.

All those 3 will be very hard games and they all are decent teams now but Arse are clearly well ahead.

In regard to where we are next to them I think if we don’t get bad injuries we should be above Spam and Chavs, can’t see us getting above Arse though.

Who cares if you were? The childishness is off the scale. This is a discussion forum, not a pub. People are allowed adult opinions which might sometimes *gasp* mean rating players who play for the opposition.

Honestly the insecurity and pettiness is unbelievable sometimes, football isn’t fucking war. I’m assuming most of us have mates who support rival teams. Some of them rate Spurs players and I rate some of theirs. Everyone’s fucking FPL teams on here tells you what they really think but people obviously feel the need to pretend otherwise to keep certain folk happy.

I think there is an element of denial from a section of Spurs fans.

They want to believe that Gray, Bergvall and Odobert are ones for the future but they aren’t. If they were they’d have gone out on loan like Sarr and Udogie did. Or like Vuskovic has.

Yang is probably one for the future and I’m expecting a European loan in January like we saw with Veliz.

But Ange has been very public that he trusts Gray, Bergvall and Odobert NOW. To him, they are the squad upgrades.
They can be ones for now and for the future at the same time. They’ll play, but anyone not accepting they’ll need time to develop over the next couple of years doesn’t have realistic expectations.

You take more joy in us dropping points and them winning than I've ever seen from you after a good Spurs performance.

Either it's because you prefer being right about your opinions over the club you support winning, or you don't actually support the club you claim to on here.
