I'm not fixated on Chelsea that's the topic that we are discussing. I'm acknowledging their seasons under Clearlake because those are the people who manage them now, why are you bringing up the Roman era to claim they are a well run club when they are not run by the same people now?
You replied to my comment referring to 25 years and yet want to focus on the only last 2, that's a topic you're discussing by yourself.
Is "yes" not a clear answer?
A yes, is a simple answer to a simple question, agreed. That's not the answer you gave. But in the follow up you've made it clear you're not the sort of fan I was talking about in my original post.

Sure, but Deles and Palmers are few and far between. Most young players have far more gradual curves into first team football at the top end of the PL.
They are few and far between. I guess that is the decision Ange and the club have taken. They have had a look at Bergvall and Gray and decided they are at least ready to be consistently premier league players like that. Odobert has already shown for a season in the prem that he can cause any team problems consistently.

The 25 years were referring to our ownership, not to Chelsea, who have went through 3 different owners in that period. The only relevant period to how well Chelsea currently operates is the period under their current ownership.

Probably something to do with the fact they've been owned by Clearlake for the same period, I dunno mate - I don't have no dog in the fight, just thought I'd point it out :davieshmm:
Shouldn't you be busy defending Enic in any possible shape or form somewhere even to the extent of other fans complaining about exorbitant food and drink costs in the stadium?

Like I said, you can create your own topics just don't claim it's what I was talking about.

For you it may be the only relevant period, I've never claimed it is.

I said to refuse to acknowledge our rivals are doing better than us and not question why is the behaviour of so called "top fans" who are the sycophants the board feeds off.

What I did not say is IN THE LAST 2 YEARS the fans who refuse to acknowledge our rivals are doing better than us ....

You definitely were mate. Don't backtrack it now.
Trust me I am not at all envious of chelsea football club. They are fascist, racist, funded by scum, and making a mockery of every rule and bylaw in the FFP/PSR handbook. They are a bloated and overpaid mess of a football club. Yes I prefer Ange and Levy to Maresca and Boehly. They are a laughingstock.

All that being said - my original comment was simply that they still have a better frontline than us.

And the larger point I was making is for all the shit we chat about Chelsea, we’ve been acting highly Chelsea-esque these past two years.

Buying Richarlison the “versatile forward” for £60m, turns out that’s just code for “not good enough to start at either position”, spend £65m on an actual striker to replace him

Buying Johnson+Kulusevski, an entire right wing of the future for £80m. Immediately have to replace both of them at RW because one has to play centrally and the other can’t dribble.

So basically, spending huge money on first team players who we then immediately have to upgrade the next year? Tell me that isn’t Chelsea. That’s the fucking club ethos of Chelsea, and it’s the exact strategy we’ve used to build our attack since 2022.

Need a sub left back and a cb and then the squad is the most complete weve had in a while.

Club needs to change the narrative, the fans will follow. We start winning and fans will start crowing, almost happened during Poch, fans seems like we had destiny behind us for a brief period.

This is how I feel. I'm sick of hearing happy clappers pillocks saying that dissatisfied fans are the cause of the problems.

Imagine when Rover, British Leyland and TVR went down the shifter, that their management and advocates blamed miserable buyers for the shoddy pieces of crap being churned out by the factory workers.

On the flip side, had nobody have ever complained, we'd still see all 3 probably.
I mean, they'd be absolutely fucking terrible, rusting, breaking down etc. Because if nobody ever moaned, why would the management keep pushing to put a better product out?

And that's where we are. We get told not to complain, and just to get behind the team unequivocally.
But by doing that, the management will just shrug and say "the fans seem happy, let's just stay where we are"

Is that what want? Unnerving support for never ending mediocrity?
