Trying to buy a striker to back up and then replace Harry Kane and also signing Kulusevski and Johnson to play RW for different managers is far from great leadership or planning but it's nothing even close to the scatter gun spend crazy behavior from Clearlake's Saudi money laundering scheme.
We could have certainly used a more long-term plan earlier though, I don't disagree with you there.
On paper we can say Chelsea have a more expensive front line. In reality it's yet to be seen. Even if they did, why the rush to credit them for it. They spent over a billion quid, they should have been getting Mbappe, Haaland, and Vini Jr level players for that. The only real success story they have so far is Cole Palmer and I swear they didn't expect him to explode as early as he did.
