If this is the end of TW signings, it qualifies as a poor to average window, guaranteeing to miss on top 4 but assuring top 5 or top 6 and no trophy again season (despite what Ange says).

No trophy season because we didn't have winners in the squad since 2009 and new signings are young and inexperienced.

Not getting into the Levy conversation but of all the so called 6/7 teams who will most likely finish in the top 6/7 places, I think we are the ones none will fear at their ground, in particular.

Put this way, I don't see any of our players currently being in a 22 - squad of the combined best squad of those 6/7 teans. Maybe maybe Romero and as a long shot Son. No one else.

And the stark reality is that 7 or 8 years ago that number would have been 5 or 6 if not more.

It was weird because Calafiori was the first strong link of the summer and then Murillo after. It looked at the start of the window that type of player was a massive priority.
Spurs rarely stick to a plan in a window though mate.

As reliable journalist regularly inform us, we look for “opportunities” in a window. We probably have a general idea of what positions we’d like to strengthen, but I’m firmly of the belief that no matter how weak a position is, if it doesn’t fit stringently into the pre window budget set out and the “opportunity” on the market isn’t good enough from a financial perspective, then we don’t sign the player and plough on with what we have.

Priority’s change rapidly for us depending on what’s deemed financial appropriate by the purse string holders.

Levy’s idea of a great window…

He wouldn't buy one of those, he'd paint the wooden ones from the 70's that have condensation between the panes.

Bit difficult for the manager to ever put together a successful team.

Still don’t really understand where this project youth has been pushed from. It certainly wasn’t what people were talking about doing at the end of last season neither by the manager or the fans.
