Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He has been at the club a year now and there seems to be an issue over whether he can stand up to a game at home to West Ham.

:avbcringe:

What would be the “right” game for him?

He walked into a club that was in turmoil. We now know the toxic environment that surrounded Poch in his final days here and that all started before Tanguy arrived (that isn't a slight at Poch, I still love the man. But it's been well reported the relationship between him and the players was not great). So he moves to a new country, new team, new league and it instantly met with that situation.

Despite that he looked very promising early on. Then came the wave of issues I mentioned before. His injury, Poch's firing, new manager, struggled to get back to fitness after his injury, then everyone around him was injured, and then the pandemic broke out. It has not been a normal season for any of the squad.

Am I guaranteeing that he'll be worth what we paid for him? No. Jury is out. But to give up on him now is idiotic.

I don't want to give up on him, I want him to play. Starting tomorrow.
If he is not going to play then I would like to know why ... and after a year new country, new team, new league is not good enough as an explanation.

I mean, you only took a small part of what I said and claim it's inexcusable.

I get it though. He's certainly been a frustrating player so far. And it's obviously ok to be frustrated with him. But I wish I was seeing more support at the same time. We don't know exactly what is going on with him.

Ndombele will be our Salah/DeBruyne regret for signing Mourinho. Mark my words.

I can't imagine the number Mourinho is doing to this 22 year old who can barely speak the language in a foreign country, who's suffering from an injury that's notoriously prickly, and has thrown away star careers before because they weren't treated properly.

Fuck off Mourinho you piece of shit.
Shut up.

I think Jose prioritised our workmanlike players against a decent United side and was hopefully saving our most creative boys for handing this mob a whooping.
Understandable, and it worked well for about 60 minutes, but Mourinho saying we don't have any attacking options to bring on after United level it makes no sense to me. Ndombele has shown he can break the lines and make incisive passes.

Ndombele as the 10 and Lo Celso as a winger seemed like a reasonable option with 10 minutes left, especially if you want to keep Winks and Sissoko in the middle. Or bring a CB on and move Dier up, Sessegnon on the left, etc..

I feel like Mourinho would look at Dembele and have no idea what to do with him and he was our most important player for 3-4 years. That's troubling.

Seems pretty clear he's talking about someone to replace Harry up top to me.
