So hard to imagine it now by comparison to modern day players. I saw him many years ago on Upper Street with his post sack over his shoulder. I guess he must have worked out of Islington or Mount Pleasant sorting offices, not sure.
Absolutely loved him as a player, as mentioned by others, he was someone that totally got what being a fan was all about and knew what it meant to pull on a Spurs shirt.
I’m sure that no genuine Spurs fan would have a bad word to say about him

Met him in the Coach & Horses couple of years ago, when Tottenham Boys We Will Return book was launched. Absolutely top bloke.

Think it was his daughter or daughter in law,was really getting info out of me and a mate at the bar about him.The ycouldnt get over how famous he was to us.
I also got the signature of Martin Robinson which is a nice one to have as he only played 3-4 times in the Div 2 season.
I think he scored a couple against Oldham in the pouring rain.
