Graph of xG contribution cumulatively for Spurs players in EPL games so far this season.

Just to explain how the contribution is calculated, a couple of recent examples:
  • Solanke's goal vs Chelsea. Johnson won the ball and passed to Solanke for a chance with xG 0.10. There were only two players involved (no secondary assist) so they get half of that each (0.05) for creating the chance. Solanke scored from the 0.10 xG so gets +0.90 for that. So net contribution was Johnson 0.05 and Solanke 0.95
  • Solanke's chance on 35 minutes vs Chelsea. Sarr played to Son who played in Solanke, whose unconvincing shot was saved. The xG was 0.76 and with 3 players involved they get 1/3 of that each (0.253) for creating the chance. Solanke missed the 0.76 xG shot so gets a negative 0.76 for that. So net contribution was Sarr 0.253, Son 0.253 and Solanke -0.507.

A bit painful updating these after a couple of bad results but that's how I cope...

6 from poor Box defence, 6 from what I'm calling "Transitional Defence"*, 3 from set pieces, 2 from penalties, 1 from a high turnover and 1 where our high line was broken = 19.

* I'm call it "Transitional Defence" when we have players behind the ball but they are back-pedalling, typically not out-numbered but maybe a 5-V-5 type scenario for example.

So basically all 5 goals against So'ton were fast breaks, although there were some longish passing sequences leading up to the breaks.
So totals now 9 from high turnovers, 15 on the break, 7 via build-up form the back, 5 from set pieces = 36
