Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We've not been unlucky, quite the opposite. What games have we deserved more, i can think maybe Newcastle away we should have got a draw and thats about it. On the other hand i can think of several where we should have got a pasting, Palace, Bournemouth x2, Chelsea x2, Everton away to name a few. Bar 2 or 3 matches we've been abysmal for 13 months.
Both Newcastle games I thought we deserved something. First game of the season against Leicester we definitely dropped 2 points. Should have been 4-0 up at half time. Brighton game where we threw away the 2 goal lead, I remmeber us missing big chances for 3-0, Brennan hit the post. We definitely could have won lots of them games. Even the 1-0 home defeat to Woolwich could have swung either way.

Palace were lucky to beat us 1-0 that day. We gifted them a goal and had the better chances. I agree on Bournemouth, Chelsea x2 and Everton away. Scoreline flatterred us them days. Same with the 2-1 loss at Woolwich.

I just think its quite remarkable that a team who's 14th in the league is comfortably clear in 6th on goal difference. Its a total outlier that you wouldn't expect to ever see in April. Usually the Goal difference would be in line with league position.

For example, Villa are 6th with a goal difference of 0. We are 13 goals better off than them but down in 14th! Its madness. Villa have just been extremely good at winning tight games and have been ripped apart in some of their defeats. We just never win tight games, extremely weak mentality and no fight. Its just very interesting and would have me thinking that under a new manager, we could easily finish ahead of the likes of Villa next season who have maybe rode their luck in some close games.

I think some of those potential extra points are extremely optimistic. We cleary have different memories of those, i'd possibly give you Leicester away, not the rest.

Our goal difference is decent because we dont close out games, we dont conserve energy so when we're having rare good days we can score a few. Thats it really. Its not bad luck.

Harry7 tops the list , no brainer really

Sudoku in second , although I am more confident that he is actually Milesy , everyone's favourite spurs play "interviewer"

Leparisien, claims he is french on a regular basis , would be funny if he's actually Australian

Spurs nation , don't have much else to say

Mick Cooper , both have form for preaching the concept of a moral victory after defeat

Gobbygonk , just as batshit crazy

Well that's a nice thought but you'd be wrong.

We definitely deserved something from the first Newcastle game, and I will brook no argument to the contrary. Suggest you re-watch then come back and amend your post.

Cheers me dears.

The positivity is gone. Even if we make the Europa semis it'll mean nothing if Woolwich are in the Champions League semis. This is how they felt in 2019 - they didn't enjoy the Europa league run at all because we were in the CL. I won't be positive unless we make the final and they are knocked out in the semis. Winning the Europa would mean nothing to me if they won the CL.

I'm down in the dumps today.

Its the same way Top 4 meant nothing to me last year if it meant them winning the league. I know there is no correlation this season between us winning and them not, but the idea of them winning the CL is enough for me to not enjoy any idea of us winning the Europa League.

When you take into account we had no Vicario for
33% of our league games, Romero has missed 50% and VDV has missed 65% it’s even more impressive.
VDV has not even played a thousand minutes.

Premier league Minutes played is even more odd.

Bergvall has played marginally more minutes than VDV.
Archie gray has still played less minutes than Romero.

Attacking wise.
Brennan Johnson 5th most minutes. Maddison 8th.
20 goals between them.

Solanke, Son and Kulu. 4th,3rd, 2nd most minutes respectively. 21 goals between them.

And Maddison is currently the attacking player with most league appearances.

Weird season.
We are good going forward, no doubt about that.

But we are insanely bad defending.

Either our defence and defensive midfield needs an HUGE upgrade. Or it's the system that fails. Or both.

Get a new manager in, and reinforce the back 4 and defensive midfield.

Attacking players shouldn't be first priority.
