Match The Bodø Affair: The Mighty Tottenham vs Bodø/Glimt of Nordland - 2000hrs 1st May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 1

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Their home record on that artificial pitch is insane. Think they've won all their home Europa games by more than a goal this season.
Season 9 Smh GIF by The Office

Bodo 3-2 Porto
Bodo 1-2 Qarabag
Bodo 2-1 Besiktas

All this season

Maybe a blessing we conceded, we’ll know we need to be sharp & on it next week

Maybe, but 3 goals is a real conundrum, because it becomes he'll for leather energy expenditure. 2, much less so.

They aren't that good
Lots of endeavour and some pretty patterns but they have their better players back and will believe.

You could see once Maddiison went off that we lacked a leader. That, more than anything us a worry. Who talks when it gets too silent or too loud?

Next week is going to be very uncomfortable.

Lazio are currently 7th in Serie A and they also beat Mourinho's Roma 6-1 back in 2021, calling them "Championship Caliber" is a bit harsh.

Away from home they're barely even that.

Away: Lost to Lazio, lost to Olympiakos, lost to Twente, drew to Nice, lost to United, beat a 10 man Braga, drew to Union Gilloise, prior to that lost to Crzena Szveda and Sparta Prague by 5-0 overall.

At home on the artificial pitch with their horrid temperature they pull off a few results, away from home the likes of Leeds, Burnley etc would turn them over more often than not. These teams have bigger wage and transfer budgets (by FAR) and play in a much more reputable league.

Championship calibre is a compliment to Bodo.

Why wasn't that a hand ball? It gave the attacker an advantage. You just know those Muppets will get the same sort of leniency if we play them in the final. It's truly shocking

A shame on how it ended, but always feel we will concede against the shittiest teams, and Bodo aren't a shit team.
Started so well too. The atmosphere was electric and we got off to the best start. We scored the second at a good time too, as they were starting to look dangerous just before that.
Once we got the third, we just stopped play and let them come at us,when we should have gone for a fourth to kill the tie.
Worried about Maddison, looked nearly in tears when he went off, hope it's not as serious as he thinks it is.
So proud of the supporters as the atmosphere generated was as good as when we played the goons when we beat them to CL. (Not many tourists about - who would have thought!) But the anxiety crept in when they scored. Just hope we go with the right attitude next week, as these will not be a pushover on their home (plastic) "turf".
But have to say, that's the most I've enjoyed a game in ages.
We never make it easy, do we?

To be fair, we're barely above Championship caliber ourselves lately.

Norwegian here. Worth noting that Bodø Glimt should have won with at least 5 goals home against Lazio. You know nothing about the quality of their team at home after the game tonight.

Nice one and good for you and all those who expend so much time and energy, let alone the cost.

It's up to the players now.

They know it's one step, 90 minutes away.
