I'll give you 2 good performances/results, both Eintracht games.

Awful against:

Rangers
Gala
AZ Alkmar away

Lucked out v Qarabag, I cannot believe the chances they missed
3-0 Effsborg - god knows what level they are

Best 45 mins was home v Enitracht, 1-1, unlucky not to win that one. Genuinely good football. But we went behind after 5 mins, their first attack of course, and they mullered a one on one just before half time.

I've never seen us in a cup competition quite like this season.

In LC there was the Coventry almost fiasco, and in the FA cup the 90 mins draw with Tamworth.

The luck seems to be holding - Bodo have a lot of injuries. We've avoided Athletic B and MUFC. In a one off final if we get there then anything can happen but if it's AB then I'd make them big favourites.

Look, in the end it doesn’t matter as long as we win this and shake Ange’s hand soon after and agree to go our separate ways, but the level of quality and resources between a barely functioning PL club like us and the likes of the European 2nd tier sides we’ve faced in this competition is quite staggering currently.

Even our parsimonious wage bill dwarfs the rest of these clubs. Ange has basically been able to do what he did at Celtic in the Europa, bully sides with lesser resources with his naive brand of football while getting bodied in the PL by the best coaches and a more level playing field.

Again, though, it really doesn’t matter. Let’s take care of these reindeer farmers and pray to good we can show up for a one-off game against trickier opponents.

You can make the same case for every team in this competition, there's no stand out side also funny how luck is attributed to Bodo now they have injuries but we're ignoring our injury crisis we've had for the majority of the season, ok then.

Exactly and its ignoring that we still had chances at their place too...people like to pick and choose chances and oppo to suit them. He talks about oh we were crap against Gala etc but we were playing complete second teams, we had lankshere up front for gods sake a kid who cant get a game at a crap champo side.

Qarabag was the game where Radu got an early red and we still dominated the game?

Good post.

Whoever we might face of the 2, I make us huge underdogs.

Not ability but mentality.

Postecoglou has made such a big thing about mentality and yet,we are even more susceptible and frail than when he joined.

Not one positive can I attribute to the bloke's tenure, which is easier to reference when you do so away from the emotion of games. Nothing.

I just dont think hes actually the special player everyone made him out to be, he just played above his ability for a couple of weeks in a depleted side being a semblance of positivity in a dark time only to resort to type and making a lot of mistakes.

He's clearly a good player, you can see it, - this was always going to happen by the way...the initial burst of form because he wants to prove himself and not he's underperforming because there's 0 accountability in the team and general apathy from the players.
