Try telling that to some of our fanbase...oh wait you haveHave wasted valuable sleeping time watching highlights of Bodo games.
They are very definitely not shit. And this is by no stretch easy.
I believe that had something to do with the Europeans who stole the land from the native Americans. One is pronounced Kansas and the other Arkansas due to French and English pronunciation of different words. And what’s all that about Kansas and Arkansas. Or is it Kansaw and Arkansaw?
Phase | Spurs Strategy |
---|---|
Possession | Central overloads + wingback width |
Transition (Att.) | Less direct; rely on quick 1-2s and late runs |
Transition (Def.) | Midfield counterpress; fullbacks drop quickly |
Out of Possession | Press in a 3-2-2-3 structure, trap wide |
Set-Pieces | Still a major advantage — target Romero/Van de Ven |
AI gives me a tactical breakdown on how to beat Bodo :-
Tactical Breakdown: Beating Bodø/Glimt Without Son
Formation: 3-4-2-1 or 4-2-3-1
Recommended Spurs Setup
Key Adjustments:
- Use Kulusevski centrally or right-sided.
- Deploy Brennan Johnson or Werner on the left to mimic Son’s vertical threat.
- Emphasize possession dominance and wing overloads rather than transition chaos.
1. Build Control Through Central Overloads
- Without Son’s outlet: Spurs can't lean solely on direct counter-attacks.
- Tactical Shift: Use Maddison + Kulusevski to dominate central zones between the lines.
- Actionable Detail: Rotate one of the wing-backs (e.g., Porro) into half-spaces to create midfield triangles and force Bodø/Glimt’s midfield to collapse inward, exposing wide areas.
2. Attack via Wide Combinations & Late Runners
- Kulusevski (right half-space) can combine with Porro for cutbacks.
- Werner or Johnson (left) can stretch the backline vertically — not as lethal as Son, but quick enough to get in behind.
- Late arrivals from midfield (Bentancur/Sarr) become essential to flood the box and finish attacks.
3. High Press with Triggers on the Fullbacks
- Structure: Use a front 3 press (Johnson – Richarlison – Kulusevski).
- Key Instruction: Force Bodø/Glimt’s CBs to pass wide, then jump press with wing-back/fullback to trap.
- Without Son pressing: Kulusevski leads centrally with more intelligent angles rather than raw speed.
4. Use Maddison as the Central Lockpicker
- Maddison's Role: Central advanced midfielder, dropping in and creating between their CBs and midfield line.
- No Son = Less Chaos: So Maddison’s passing vision and movement need to replace Son’s penetration.
- Key Movement: Maddison drags out a DM → opens channel for Johnson or a WB to exploit.
5. Dominant Wing-Back Play
- Pedro Porro and Udogie or Royal must provide width, overlap frequently, and stretch Bodø/Glimt’s back four.
- These wingbacks are crucial since Son’s absence removes a major wide threat.
- Focus on switching play quickly to exploit Bodø/Glimt’s narrow defensive shape.
6. Defensive Discipline Against Bodø/Glimt’s Midfield Runs
- Their attacking mids and wingers make dangerous third-man diagonal runs.
- Spurs’ holding midfielders (Bissouma/Bentancur) must screen in front of Romero & Co.
- Keep the defensive line tight and compact; don’t allow separation between CBs and mids.
Tactical Summary (Without Son):
Phase Spurs Strategy Possession Central overloads + wingback width Transition (Att.) Less direct; rely on quick 1-2s and late runs Transition (Def.) Midfield counterpress; fullbacks drop quickly Out of Possession Press in a 3-2-2-3 structure, trap wide Set-Pieces Still a major advantage — target Romero/Van de Ven
Player Roles Rebalanced:
and a great image
- Werner / Johnson: Wide left threat with vertical runs
- Richarlison: Pin CBs, crash the box
- Kulusevski: Creative hub from right half-space
- Maddison: Chief playmaker centrally
- Porro & Udogie: Overlap, stretch, and deliver

If the PL is average, what are the other leagues?I completely disagree.
Neither us or United have been that good. It's simply a function of how much money the PL has at its disposal..
The PL is very mediocre in my opinion..
Have quite a few times.Try spending some time in the states...they pronounce Notre Dame , noter dayme...Melanzane is moulinjon...and so and so on ad nausem with absolutely no nod towards the correct pronunciation...
Exactly what I'm saying. If 2 teams in the lower reaches of the PL get to the final it is more an indication of the poor quality of the other, major leagues. No Italian, French & German team got there and only 1 Spanish. Shows the strength of the PL.
G70?I’ve been looking at Genesis because they still make a nice saloon based on the Stinger, which Kia have stopped making. I’m trying to avoid EVs for as long as possible though. I prefer petrol.
I sometimes think alcohol plays a role. I don't drink so see these games stoje cold sober, im sure some of these fanbois who think we played well were steaming drunk. It's actually beyond belief, I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same shit!
No it isn't.I reckon they will shut up shop and hope to beat us at theirs. Maybe get some players back.
It’s pronounced Boh-da, btw. (I just found this out!)

As much as a tactical liability he can be and has been, he actually wants the club to succeed and not be constantly belittled in the media.

He should thank his lucky stars that the media hate us. He's been given an incredibly easy ride considering how record breakingly awful we've been this season. He’s realised that the media aren’t just having a go at him.
They also love having a dig at Spurs.
If Spurs had of won the league like Leicester did, it wouldn’t be a “fairytale”.
It would be Spurs lucked out because other teams were rubbish that season.
Amount of West Ham and Woolwich journalists in London who just want to watch us lose.
You can tell Ange wants to give the moose a slap at every press conference.

Good old Erik Thorstvedt.Wish every game build up could be like this.
SO much buzz in Norwegian medias including chit chat with former players and others from the Tottenham family, Erik Thorstvedt, Jo Nesbø (author, singer/songwriter) and more..
Please don't spoil this night Spurs!
“Coffee table” tradition sounds like what the Swedish call a “fika”.If they were playing any other team I'd be rooting for them
