AI gives me a tactical breakdown on how to beat Bodo :-

🎯 Tactical Breakdown: Beating Bodø/Glimt Without Son

⚙️ Recommended Spurs Setup

Formation: 3-4-2-1 or 4-2-3-1
Key Adjustments:
  • Use Kulusevski centrally or right-sided.
  • Deploy Brennan Johnson or Werner on the left to mimic Son’s vertical threat.
  • Emphasize possession dominance and wing overloads rather than transition chaos.

1. Build Control Through Central Overloads

  • Without Son’s outlet: Spurs can't lean solely on direct counter-attacks.
  • Tactical Shift: Use Maddison + Kulusevski to dominate central zones between the lines.
  • Actionable Detail: Rotate one of the wing-backs (e.g., Porro) into half-spaces to create midfield triangles and force Bodø/Glimt’s midfield to collapse inward, exposing wide areas.

2. Attack via Wide Combinations & Late Runners

  • Kulusevski (right half-space) can combine with Porro for cutbacks.
  • Werner or Johnson (left) can stretch the backline vertically — not as lethal as Son, but quick enough to get in behind.
  • Late arrivals from midfield (Bentancur/Sarr) become essential to flood the box and finish attacks.

3. High Press with Triggers on the Fullbacks

  • Structure: Use a front 3 press (Johnson – Richarlison – Kulusevski).
  • Key Instruction: Force Bodø/Glimt’s CBs to pass wide, then jump press with wing-back/fullback to trap.
  • Without Son pressing: Kulusevski leads centrally with more intelligent angles rather than raw speed.

4. Use Maddison as the Central Lockpicker

  • Maddison's Role: Central advanced midfielder, dropping in and creating between their CBs and midfield line.
  • No Son = Less Chaos: So Maddison’s passing vision and movement need to replace Son’s penetration.
  • Key Movement: Maddison drags out a DM → opens channel for Johnson or a WB to exploit.

5. Dominant Wing-Back Play

  • Pedro Porro and Udogie or Royal must provide width, overlap frequently, and stretch Bodø/Glimt’s back four.
  • These wingbacks are crucial since Son’s absence removes a major wide threat.
  • Focus on switching play quickly to exploit Bodø/Glimt’s narrow defensive shape.

6. Defensive Discipline Against Bodø/Glimt’s Midfield Runs

  • Their attacking mids and wingers make dangerous third-man diagonal runs.
  • Spurs’ holding midfielders (Bissouma/Bentancur) must screen in front of Romero & Co.
  • Keep the defensive line tight and compact; don’t allow separation between CBs and mids.

✅ Tactical Summary (Without Son):

PhaseSpurs Strategy
PossessionCentral overloads + wingback width
Transition (Att.)Less direct; rely on quick 1-2s and late runs
Transition (Def.)Midfield counterpress; fullbacks drop quickly
Out of PossessionPress in a 3-2-2-3 structure, trap wide
Set-PiecesStill a major advantage — target Romero/Van de Ven

🔁 Player Roles Rebalanced:

  • Werner / Johnson: Wide left threat with vertical runs
  • Richarlison: Pin CBs, crash the box
  • Kulusevski: Creative hub from right half-space
  • Maddison: Chief playmaker centrally
  • Porro & Udogie: Overlap, stretch, and deliver
and a great image :)

I asked ChatGpT which clubs will win the European Cups

CL Real Madrid
EL Porto
EC Chelsea

When I told it the 2 of those clubs aren’t in the competitions it said Liverpool for the CL

Confused Curb Your Enthusiasm GIF

I completely disagree.

Neither us or United have been that good. It's simply a function of how much money the PL has at its disposal..

The PL is very mediocre in my opinion..
If the PL is average, what are the other leagues?
Try spending some time in the states...they pronounce Notre Dame , noter dayme...Melanzane is moulinjon...and so and so on ad nausem with absolutely no nod towards the correct pronunciation...
Have quite a few times.
I once had to translate water into "wader" to a waitress for my wife, who was struggling to order the wet stuff.
If 2 teams in the lower reaches of the PL get to the final it is more an indication of the poor quality of the other, major leagues. No Italian, French & German team got there and only 1 Spanish. Shows the strength of the PL.
Exactly what I'm saying.
Still a small chance Arse win the CL, one of us or United win the europa and Chelsea win the conference. Clean sweep in 3 comps.
I’ve been looking at Genesis because they still make a nice saloon based on the Stinger, which Kia have stopped making. I’m trying to avoid EVs for as long as possible though. I prefer petrol.
G70?
Ours is the GV70 so the SUV version. There is a petrol one too.
They're impressive looking things but I feel like they've tried to throw all the tech and stuff in without fleshing it out over years and years to see what works and what doesn't. As a result, some of it does my head in. It'll literally lock the brakes on and flash warning up when i want to manoeuvre if it detects a car in the same postcode. The user profile system is SHIT and although it's called a "sport" trim it ain't, it's wallowy.
490hp though.
It's actually beyond belief, I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same shit!
I sometimes think alcohol plays a role. I don't drink so see these games stoje cold sober, im sure some of these fanbois who think we played well were steaming drunk.

"Europa League will not change anything in our problems - it's going to help us to have Champions League next year, more money to spend, but the problems are still there," added the United boss.

"We have to change the minds of our fans with consistency, good decisions, good recruitment, a good academy. This is what we need to change to take this club back to the top.

"This is more of a shortcut to go to European games. Nothing more."

The coach of another shit team whose team is also playing tonight.

Given the same media space (press conference) to talk to our fans who pay money week in week out, our Regaine using fassihole cuck is instead moving as if he is out here fighting the Australian war of independence against the British.

But since we are all here, a genuine shout out to the 3 Champions League teams over the pass few nights:
Whether it be Inzhagi and their unique Italian/Dutch way of attacking and defending, Flick's suffocating German style swarming alongside those fucking super hero kids(Cubarsi!!!) from La Masia or lastly, Enrique using that Mbappe money so astutely that the precocious young killer Barcola can't even get a regular start... thank you all.

It has been mesmerising watching what can be done with a little tactical nous and bravery.

Which in turn makes you look at Gray, Berg, Spence, Odebert, Austin et al (no, not Tel lol) and think what could have been done with an actual coach.

Ange better win this shit. Seriously....

As much as a tactical liability he can be and has been, he actually wants the club to succeed and not be constantly belittled in the media.

He’s realised that the media aren’t just having a go at him.
They also love having a dig at Spurs.

If Spurs had of won the league like Leicester did, it wouldn’t be a “fairytale”.
It would be Spurs lucked out because other teams were rubbish that season.

Amount of West Ham and Woolwich journalists in London who just want to watch us lose.

You can tell Ange wants to give the moose a slap at every press conference.

He's being clever by trying to create a them and us situation.

Whereas for a lot of the season it's been them, us and him.

But I do like it. The siege mentality and journalists mocking us will hopefully stick a rocket up our players arses. Some of them need a good hard look in the mirror and do some self reflecting on what type of person they are.

A large majority have been phoning it in this season and don't deserve to wear the badge.

He should thank his lucky stars that the media hate us. He's been given an incredibly easy ride considering how record breakingly awful we've been this season.

If he was managing at one of the darling clubs they'd have hounded him out by now.

Ha ha..... Werner up top as a lone striker....

:sonpoint:

Wish every game build up could be like this.

SO much buzz in Norwegian medias including chit chat with former players and others from the Tottenham family, Erik Thorstvedt, Jo Nesbø (author, singer/songwriter) and more..

Please don't spoil this night Spurs!

Hi guys, not a Spurs fan but just got back from Bodø, where I made a documentary on Bodø/Glimt, their rise, their fanbase and their home match vs Lazio in the quarter finals (which they dominated), what we experienced on and off the pitch was incredible and I feel like it'll be right up your alley whether you're going to Bodø for the 2nd leg or just want to know what Spurs are up against tonight! Link to the film below!

Enjoy
