Well, I hope it works but does seem a strange line-up. Solanke and Richie and no one to cross to them. Hopefully, we don’t lull Bodo into a true sense of security.
 
The only benefit of playing Richarlison on the left is if he spends more time supporting Solanke and offers an aerial threat when Porro crosses the ball. No idea why Johnson is playing though as his crossing is woeful. Criminal not to start Odobert.
 
I didn't watch the Liverpool game so can't comment on how Tel did there, but IIRC he was fine against Forest in terms of going right at his defender and delivering dangerous balls inside the box. You know, the kind of stuff that wingers should be doing on a consistent basis. So I'm not sure why he isn't out there today.

Fielding Johnson and Richarlison together essentially means that we're going to try to break them down without any winger play. Good luck with that.

Edit: Odobert is also available but not starting. Truly bizarre stuff this.
 
That was the position Richy had his best games for Everton, so maybe it will work... gives us a bit more muscle and aerial threat too

What’s so strange is that Tel and Odobert have started to show real signs of life on the wing. Tel, in particular, has looked pretty good.

I presume Porro is just going to lob crosses into the box.
 
Blatant 'I'm going with experience' selection. Uninspiring , not starting any of Bergvall, Odebert or Spence has the same taste as not giving Micky Moore a single fucking minute for ages.
