Dele is one of my favorite players ever, and was on course to be the next 100m player. Its heartbreaking and incredible that his decline was so fast. I would say we don't know the true story at all and there is a lot more under wraps that led to Spurs having to give up on him.

Celebrities and thier agents work in mysterious ways.

Brendan Frasier for instance, tells us of his abuse - right when he has a film to promote and an oscar campaign to run.

Dele just happened to give the interview in July, when the transfer window was open, and Everton asked him to find a new club after a failed loan in Turkey. His agent was looking for another Premier League team to give him a lifeline.

Its incredible that given the talent that he had, that no club was willing to try him - even for free. Surely a Southampton or Ipswich or Fulham could have benefitted from his experience? That says a lot about what those clubs know about him - and what we as fans know.

I think he would have a negative effect in the dressing room. If a team is struggling the last thing it needs is someone who fucked up their career coming along. Then it's stuck with him for however long the contract is.
