Article The Curious Case of Dele Alli

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Immature prick? He was sexually assaulted as a child and that has obviously had a big impact on him, as it would anyone.

He was also taken in at 12 years old by a wealthy middle class family who gave him a loving home and supported him in building a career earning millions at the pinnacle of world football.

The sob stories and 'poor me' only came out once his career started falling apart and he needed a job. He knows that he threw away his career and lost respect of all his peers - and his public admission was nothing more than a PR stunt probably arranged by his agent for him to seek some redemption and reignite his career. Typical behavior from the playbook of self-obsessed narcists celebrities and who can't handle the light on them fading.

Whilst you are feeling sorry for the poor love, He's been in Ibiza all summer. Partying and hanging with his model girlfriend.

Dele is one of my favorite players ever, and was on course to be the next 100m player. Its heartbreaking and incredible that his decline was so fast. I would say we don't know the true story at all and there is a lot more under wraps that led to Spurs having to give up on him.

Most true Spurs would have phrased it as ‘Us’ having to give up on him!

But you do you!

I'm struggling to understand how him coming out and admitting he was sexually abused would reignite his career as a footballer?

Weird take.

Celebrities and thier agents work in mysterious ways.

Brendan Frasier for instance, tells us of his abuse - right when he has a film to promote and an oscar campaign to run.

Dele just happened to give the interview in July, when the transfer window was open, and Everton asked him to find a new club after a failed loan in Turkey. His agent was looking for another Premier League team to give him a lifeline.

Its incredible that given the talent that he had, that no club was willing to try him - even for free. Surely a Southampton or Ipswich or Fulham could have benefitted from his experience? That says a lot about what those clubs know about him - and what we as fans know.

I think he would have a negative effect in the dressing room. If a team is struggling the last thing it needs is someone who fucked up their career coming along. Then it's stuck with him for however long the contract is.

You have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to childhood trauma. None at all.

Sit this one out, you've embarrassed yourself enough on here already.

Nobody here cares what you have to say. Don't you DARE quote me again.
