To be clear, I’m not backing the idea of taking him back, or of him being a mentor to younger players. Just pointing out his history and lifestyle should be no blocker to doing so.

Even if he isn’t, so what? Where does it say you have to be a Spurs fan to post here? As far as I know anybody can join whether they are Spurs or not. Plenty of other club forums have fans from other clubs in them.
If you think what he said about a beloved former player of this club who was sexually abused at 8 years old, mentally and physically abused all his young life who then had to hide and face these problems alone in the spotlight as a footballer calling him lazy and a selfish prick is ok under the free speech banner you go ahead.
