What can it hurt to have a Spurs legend training and being around the team? If he could come back and contribute it would be amazing- and I think he still has time.

I hope we always have a spot at the training grounds for ex players that truly love the club.

As I've spoken about how Dele he broke himself & people here dogpile on me with bullshit like buh buh you don't know this n you don't know that - I take what THE PLAYER says himself!

He went through a lot of trauma, unfortunately, he wasn't able to ask for help - which he himself admits.

Dele to me is tippidy top - watching him play was worth the season ticket alone & no I'm not exaggerating - yes we had Kane, Sonny etc but he was electric!

He will ALWAYS be TTID & we that witnessed him play, with our own eyes will always have him in their hearts.

Absolutely. At his best, 2nd only to Bale this century in ability to make your heart race.

Absolutely love Dele and hope he recaptures it. Still only 29. If he could do it here...well, what a dream.

Interview does seem a bit delusional...he didn't really leave Tottenham, the club worked very hard to get him off the books (but into a situation everyone at least hoped would be good for him).

Delusional? I wouldn't say so - from reading his words in full, I think it's his personal account of that time than a fact based view he was at the time a 'troubled star'.

I wish he knew that us, as Tottenham fans, will always thank him & hold him in a high regard & would love to see his return to our stadium be it playing for us or even against us.

He would get a standing ovation none the less! I hope for it!

He produced truly sublime footballing moments. I believe his current predicament is more down to lazy temperament, mental health issues and I guess not a strong enough desire to train. If he can recommit himself to football I’ve no doubt he could do it.

I cannot comment on his current mental condition is but this is what I agree with :-

"If he can recommit himself to football I’ve no doubt he could do it."

Namaste! 100% agree & we will be there to witness it.

When I say delusional its specifically because he says multiple times he "shouldn't have left Tottenham" and he "thought I could do it anywhere".

He wasn't spurning Tottenham from a position of strength - he' been off it for quite a while (and was receiving a lot of abuse, especially around here), and the club had been trying to move him for some time. It wasn't really his choice.

I get ya!

I appreciate you clarifying - we know the facts, as we've spoken on other ex-players.

I now agree with you 100% - TTID my friend.

I hope he knows how loved he is. There was a three year window when Harry Kane was the most relentless terrifying Centerforward I'd ever seen. And we've been on the wrong end of prime Drogba and Henry. Kane was more fearsome. And yet....It was Dele. He was an avatar of what we are, like Rafa Van Der vaart was. Kane would score a hatrick but Dele is Tottenham’s spirit animal. A shuffle a trick a goal out of nothing. He has Spurs bones.

Dele continuously getting dragged by the media and never given a chance whilst 'cheeky' golden boy Jack Grealish can not give a fuck about football, drink drive, constantly been seen drunk leaving bars and clubs and it's barely mentioned with the narrative being he's been treated unfairly by Pep.

Dele will always always be one of my favourite ever Spurs players.
