Article The Curious Case of Dele Alli

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Dele continuously getting dragged by the media and never given a chance whilst 'cheeky' golden boy Jack Grealish can not give a fuck about football, drink drive, constantly been seen drunk leaving bars and clubs and it's barely mentioned with the narrative being he's been treated unfairly by Pep.

Dele will always always be one of my favourite ever Spurs players.

One is black, one is white

same shit they're doing with Bellingham now and his 'attitude' on the pitch.

Have a look at how they reported Rooney's actions on the pitch (which were a hundred times worse btw)...they fucking loved him for it...called him "fiery".

Like a lot of things in life, actions speak louder than words. I would love it if he made the best comeback since Lazarus, but I have an awful feeling he's left it a bit late. However, he will always have a special place in our hearts. He got an amazing reception when he came back to WHL when at Everton, and Hugo pulled him over to acknowledge the South Stand, it was quite an emotional moment. But can we afford to be sentimental?
Time will tell I suppose.

The media bias IMO is mainly aimed at a club such as Manchester United during their period of dominance, for example Roy Keane got away with being like an aggressive 1970's player. So the media bias isn't exactly favouring specific players but generally the team that the player is employed by.

If Rooney had played for Spurs he most likely would have been treated differently by the media. I think to a fair degree Romero is an example of that.

Is he allowed to train with Spurs without being under contract?

If he is, why not allow him to? We know the potential is there, it's just going to be can it be extracted?

That made me cry. It’s all so heartbreaking. Wish we could give him a shot - fans still singing his song in Bilboa said so much. What’s the point in football, nay, life if we can’t make decisions sentimentally.

He can’t play football anymore. Sad but a football club pays people to play football. Maybe we could find some other role for him when he accepts it’s almost certainly all over.

I prefer to look ahead bergvall could be special.
Dele is under contract at como for another year.
So why should he hang around at spurs training ground?
Just like vdv he left spurs and regrets it but it's done and dusted.
He is a cult hero and will forever be in our hearts dont spoil it with a sad attempt of a Comeback in his 30s...

I still think that it is far more important for Dele to be happy in life and healthy than if he can play football. Obviously playing can intersect with happy in life but all playing careers end at some point. And if the options are between Dele having a slightly longer playing career or not breaking down into some lesser form of Gazza then I'd take the latter any day.
