Our transfer strategy, aside from the clear view that Frank had, in only wanting better than we have has been garbage.
It looks like we might secure the Simons's signing, but only because of that filth club overstretching.
Even if we sign a couple more players, which will give us a fighting chance, it's not fcukng good enough.
Like winning the Europa final last season, but not having control of the game, we need to do bloody better when it comes to sourcing targets and undertaking due diligence.

You’re not happy with us signing quality players that improve the first team because they didn’t sign them in the right way?

I dunno, if we get another Left sided attacker and someone for the backup Left back position I'm not sure any one can complain?
Even if the window closed tomorrow I'm giving it a 7.5 out of 10 - the only position that really worries me for depth is Only having Djed, Udogie and Porro to cover L & RB, obviously I'd like Savio as well for a left sided attacker but the lack of depth in defence scares me more.
You’re right. Our strategy isn’t good enough and our timing very poor.
But Simons for £50m represents a fantastic signing for us. Arguably better than MGW and Eze.
So I’m taking a day or two off from being a miserable cunt and going to take this win. Cheer up man!
