Not just that one game. Of course that was the toughest loss we had to take maybe ever.
But it's the never ending misery since then.

The return to attacking football 2 years ago ends in the ange fiasco. The next 3 el games could decide how the next few years look like for spurs and not just how ange will be remembered...

Also now that I read this 6 years ago fucking hell

:deledoubt:

I think we lose every remaining Premier league game ... Finish 17th

BUT....

we WIN the Europa League...
All those 'what would you rather...?" at the start of the season actually play out!

Ange resigns ON THE PITCH at the post-match lap of 'honour' after we've lost go Brighton.

Oh, and I've a sinking feeling the Arse will win the CL...

It's all got a very 1990/91 feel about it...
Back then, we won the FA Cup, but the Arse were Champions...

If WE win a Trophy... Arse just have to fucking go and win a better one!

Oh, and Levy finally gives in to the Oil state money of a country with questionable morals, and sells Spurs in the Summer to Vladimir Putin, and we all regret forgetting to be careful what we wish for!!!

That's a bit dark

:angeshock:

First lets see how the semis play out and if we really get a reversed situation to 2019 I will not be very confident.
But Im more hopeful for Woolwich losing in the semis than us reaching the final which is a bit silly but not really is it?;)

Keep ya head up :coys:

Personally for me - we haven't gotten ANYWHERE near close to that & as I've said many times that day broke me BUT I had faith...it was completely misplaced & undeserved...

I completely agree these last 2 seasons have been nothing more than fukkin miserable, never seen the fanbase soo divided over soo much crap...never seen our players look like utter fukkin buffooons since I was a damn kid...I no longer look forward to games. I'm not renewing my ST & I've been getting shit for it 'oh they'll resell it to toursits' SO WHAT!!! If you pay it for me I STILL wouldn't go not until this SHELL of a football team turn up & our manager gets his head out of his fukkin arse to attempt to fix the issues instead of saying crap like 'we played well' & 'we deserve to win'. Sadly I see nothing to prove he won't so he can fukk off too...

All the money we made with that fight, all the fukkin concerts which we were told would go into the team HAVEN'T & of course never will...get your payrise hire a new CEO Levy you can fukk off too...

This club, it's players & that delusional manager wants ME...ME?!?! to have faith in them??? nah mate it goes both ways & honestly Spurs THE CLUB I LOVE need to show me some fukkin love back by at least WINNING SOME FUKKIN GAMES...

I get disrespected by 6yr old kids because I wear a Spurs shirt...

Ah fukk it I can't anymore - I'm always in real life laughing it off like 'oh yeah I know we are shit hahaha' using humour to hide the fact that I was depressed about it but now? If we go out of this EL Comp that's it I'm fully apathetic towards next season...

SPURS OWE US ALL...if they CAN'T or DON'T deliver SPURS can fukk off...

Disagree with all of that but if we win europa, Woolwich dont win CL and ange resigns on the pitch it will turn out to be a very happy ending.

I just watched the dark knight rises and to quote:
"There is no real desperation without hope"
Which remided me of what it's like being a spurs supporter:)
I hope you will make the right decision for yourself regarding your season ticket no matter how this season will end...
I know youve been going for + 20 years right?
So that would be a big change in your life but maybe it's time.
I feel your pain regarding 2019. For me it's more about how things went on since then. From season to season I was less emotionaly invested.
I mean if we win against bodo great but compared to ajax? I dont think I will feel 2% of that...
Let’s just hope we finally win a trophy and for once get lucky with the next manager.
I wouldn’t bet money on it that's for sure.

No I agree since that game we have just nose dived...we are a SHADOW of our former selves...

I've been going since 93/94 as much as could which was about 10-15 games a season, always London games as a 10/11 yr old & secured a ST in 1999 which I paid for with money I worked for. I grafted a year for it & it meant the world to me...

If we win against Bodo it's still not enough for me - I doubt I'll even really celebrate it - that Spurs Vodka isn't going to be opened until we win this fukkin thing or we go out.

I WANT US TO WIN - I really do but I can't hype this as I can't get carried away...

The next season? I can't comment, but this club has much to prove to us all.

I compare it to eating your partners food they cook, it's always crap for years & you love them so you eat it but that one time they cook up a storm & deliver the best thing you've ever eaten you're like...

Yes and in July someone will announce that they’ve finally cracked nuclear fusion
the price of oil will flat-line to the point it’s uneconomic to even extract it and Daniel swoops in to re-buy the Club for a hundred million squids . Having previously sold it for 4.5 billion.

On his first day back he introduces tills to the players dining room and cancels the staff Christmas party on
“ cost-grounds “ .

I have an opinion that's very unpopular on here, in that from a business perspective we owe a lot to Levy.
Purely from a business standpoint, since he took over we've become the 9th richest club in the world, have one of the best stadiums in the world, and have world class training facilities.
Most importantly though he's built a self sustainable business model. We don't want to be bought out by a sugar Daddy who then tires of us and leaves us in the position Sir Jim Ratcliffe is in now.
When Levy goes (which I believe he should, as he's taken us as far as he can in footballing terms) I hope he gets the recognition he deserves instead of a wall of hate. It could be argued that the high standards we are expecting now are in part because of his ownership.

Not the point of my reply though....

It's a real shame that dedicated fans like yourself feel the way you do, I totally understand it. The limit of my investment has been getting up at 3am to watch games and being exhausted at work, then wondering why I do it!
But for the ST holders, especially those that travel to away games, you're the true fans that have made the biggest sacrifice this season.

You know now and again when a team puts a shocking performance on during a game, and the club refund the tickets....I do feel like there should be financial reparations for fans like yourself. It'll never happen in a million years, but Levy needs to acknowledge that the financial outlay of stakeholders hasn't been met with a satisfactory product, then in a business sense, there should be some form of compensation.

Unfortunately we know It'll never happen...but good on you for your dedication this season, and I hope we get a decent manager in that renews your faith in the club.

Your first paragraph is something I do agree with no issue with his business acumen but only to a certain point - he's not fulfilled what he said he would do for the football fans.

Oh there are fans on here that have been doing home, away & European games longer than I have even before I was even born. I respect them everyday & we should always listen to them because they're our history as much as any player, manager or owner also I can only speak for myself here.

I don't want a refund - I sometimes say they should but if your a fan that's the least you want because you want the team you love to be successful.

This season has been the least dedicated I've been - I'll tell you why I joined this forum, even though I'm a 'newb' here, I was speaking to my fellow football fans who are Spurs & other clubs discussing how shit we are 'Nah you're not shit' I'm told...I'm told Solanke is our best striker in years, Ange is a good manager because he won trophies at other clubs & I should be thankful for Levy while backing the club 100%. I thought are they watching the same fukkin football as I am??? Levy out protests were small but I supported em & I just felt this sense that this season after last years was going really bad so I thought OK it's time to see if I'm the crazy one...

I found out I'm not - the narratives I knew were bullshit others believe to be bullshit as well :-

  • It's because of injuries
  • Sonny is just old
  • Levy cares about the football, look at his investment
  • All of our team are kids
  • Ange-Ball is a complex system you don't understand it
  • Ange doesn't need new coaching staff what we have is world class
  • All the players are shit it's not Ange's coaching but at the same time defending the players because they're GOOD WTF
  • Our wage to revenue ratio isn't an issue
And soo many more...I like conversing with people, even though they may disagree with me to understand AM I WRONG ABOUT THIS SEASON???

I'm not it's been the worst I've been a fan - yes us Spurs fans get jabs, jibes & jokes but for godsake we had 'world class players' we had 'great managers' & this Spurs team right now has NONE of that honestly I've never seen our team lose possession of the ball so badly, concede so early, lose so many games, the manager talking bollox, Levy lying so much & players getting worse & all of it CONSISTENTLY. Don't even get me started on the ST holder bullshit changes over the years either...

I liked my yearly membership pack sometimes you got a nice scarf or a keychain n shit but c'mon man all you get now is a fukkin E-Voucher for their merch because they know if you go to the shop you're probably gonna go over that allocated cost voucher so they get more £££ that's showing the fans some FUKKIN LOVE...nothing exclusive, nothing tailored just a fukkin voucher thanks...

Also the ticket prices??? I mean it's a never ending list of SKULLFUKKERY for anyone who invests anything into this club...I know I'm negative & I want us to lift that fukkin trophy in spite of all of that...but what if we don't???

It has to change because this used to be a fukkin football club...

Not a lot there that I can disagree with. Yes Levy is an astute business man, think that it sticks in the craw when he pays himself the highest salary of any CEO in Europe and the money generated does not appear to be invested into the football club.
I even understand his reluctance in investing in human beings, as there is always a risk involved and we are shockingly bad at buying smart. We have spent a fortune on players for them to be either crap or spending most of their time injured.
Ange's appointment has been a disaster TBH, but then again, so have nearly all of Levy's appointments. It's such a mess and it's not going to get fixed anytime soon.
Even with the EL run, it's been probably the worst season in my memory, hardly any moments of note, and only avoiding relegation because the three teams at the bottom were utterly dreadful.
It's certainly tough being a Spurs supporter at the moment, and I have to admit that it has been a chore to go to games. :(

Oh, you're definitely not the crazy one, although there's a lot of over-emotional people on here!

What I will add is that, obviously to build a sustainable business model there has to be an element of risk adversity, which is what we see from Levy. I've said it before that I truly believe that Levy wants success, he wants the best for the business, I say business because that's how he looks at the club, as a business, you want your chairperson to have an element of that.
Although an astute business owner will surround themselves with good people, and I think that is where Levy has gone horribly wrong, it seems that we make a lot of poor decisions surround hiring, both players and managers. The scouting team seems to be incapable of consistently finding the right players. Plenty of PL teams spend way less than we do and get hungry players that are either talented or would die fighting for the team. Then there's the millions we've wasted on sacking managers over the years.
However, from a business standpoint we probably couldn't ask for anyone better. From a footballing standpoint we probably couldn't get much worse.....one thing I am certain of though, next season will be a whole lot better providing Ange goes.

Do you remember/got the Membership Packs??? I totally forgot about them & how I used to look forward to getting my 'member only' scarves, keyrings & those booklets with new players & history books with cool shit...

You've been doing this longer than I have & if you also think it this is the worst season IM NOT CRAZY!!!

Remember when we had :-
  • Berbatov
  • Dembélé
  • Bale
  • Modric
  • VDV the OG Raffa
  • Keane
  • Dafoe
  • Trippier
  • Walker
  • Kane
Spurs were always known for being able to get some great talents! I mean we aren't even going that far back either are we - I'm sitting here thinking yknow Solanke really aint that good for £60m+, Bergvall aint no Dele & we can't even pass forward properly from the midfield...I've seen a massive regression in even players like Biss he used to be a baller & now if I see him on the pitch I know he's gonna fukk it up...

Fukk this negativity...WE ARE GONNA WIN THIS - WE HAVE TO WIN THIS - I DO BELIEVE WE CAN WIN THIS!!!

I'm not even joking we can!!!

COYS!!!
