Management The end is nigh

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

For a bit of fun how do we see the season playing out:

I think we will scrimp past Bodo by doing a job on them in the first leg and holding on grimly in the second leg...
West Ham away looks a nailed on defeat. This is their cup final and they will be bang up for it and as we have the second leg against Bodo to follow Ange will put out a team that resembles a smouldering mess of hot garbage. Palace at home is a reasonable opportunity to pick up a point. They have one eye on their cup final, can't get relegated, can't finish below us - got 2-2 written all over it...
Villa away will be a belly tickler... we have the Europa final on the 21st May so this is nothing more than fixture obligation and hopefully helping Villa beat Chelsea to 5th place. The Europa League final is the only game that presents a conundrum. Can we beat United AGAIN this season or would it be the most Spursy thing to reach the final and lose to this lot. For some reason I feel like it will be the later. As the great Bruce Almighty said "God is just a mean kid with a magnifying glass. And Spurs are the ant". Which all leads to Brighton at home, the twenty second defeat. Mason likely to be in charge and I can see levels of toxicity never seen before... I wonder what Levy's end of season notes will be like... anyway, that's my take... would love to hear what others think
What happens in the league now are totally uninteresting.

But i guess we will have a hard time getting a single point out of the remaining fixtures.

Agree with most of that but think that IF we get to the fins we can beat Yanited!

They’re shite!
I agree that they are shite, I'd even say that we are better than them in terms of first 11 and squad. Their manager like Ange is a total fraud. We have beaten them 3 times this season already so you would expect us to do them in a final.....

BUT no matter how shit Man Utd are, a bit like that lot up the road they still pop up with the odd trophy. They even won one under egghead Haag.

When was the last time we even put a performance in worthy of the name in a cup final?

I think we get past Bodo okay and then lose the final.
No more points in the league. Brighton would have been our best bet but coming after a EL final defeat I can't see the players mustering any kind of performance.

Bodo (H): 3-1
WHU (A): 2-1
Bodo (A): 1-1
Palace (H): 1-2
Villa (A): 3-1
EL Final: 2-1 Loss
Brighton (H): 2-3

Record PL defeats including West Ham embarrassment and an EL SF exit.

A 'lap of honour' against Brighton on the final day follows after a 'coached win' but an actual 0-3 defeat. During this, Ange storms into the stands to confront the five people left in the crowd, including punching a deluded fan singing the Robbie Williams song with a guitar they smuggled in to show their loyalty to the church of Angeball.

While said fan is both wincing and starstruck at meeting his hero and God who has given him a broken jaw, Milesey pops up for the usual three-way conversation with Ange and his shoes, pausing for a second to think of something positive to say.

Eventually, he chimes: "Didn't go our way today but it's the taking part that counts, right Ange?"

Ange doesn't answer. Instead he simply walks out of the ground. He returns seconds later to demolish the guitar on our poor supporter's head before walking out again, jumping on the 279 bus before never being seen in north London again.

Think we scrape through against Bodo, do the job at home, but make it very nervy away. Similar to Burnley/sheff UTD in the cup a few years ago.

Maybe we beat Palace, but will probably lose every game remaining.

Lose the Europa final. Doesn't matter against who.

The cabbage sacked the day after the final. We spend all summer looking for a manager, similar to the nuno summer.

This is what I was hoping for... scores are fine but some context is everything!!!

I had an almost identical set of forecasts. Think we might lost the away leg Bodø but narrower than our home win. God forbid it goes to pens, I've been on Blood Pressure tabs last few months.

Was hoping there were more Jehovah’s witnesses on here for me to chat to. Perhaps not. Oh well.

But the end is nigh!!

We can all agree on that anyway.

That’s the one

If we come 17th and don’t win the EL would this then be our worst ever Premier League season?

I know stat wise it would just thinking when we where in danger of relegation the one season in the 90’s but then offsetting that with the seemly much greater lack of hope we have now.

You forgot the bit where after the absolute mauling by Brighton, Ange appears on the Darewalk (TM) bare-chested, grinning with wild eyes ... grabs a mike and bellows a smirking "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED", at which point TFC members Daveyboy and Matt1882 appear from nowhere charging at Ange, who loses his balance and starts to fall, grabbing the 4m high golden cockerel with Gazza damage as he goes in a genuinely entertaining finale to the season. Despite the best efforts of the two TFC members to save him, Ange's grasp slips and he tumbles towards the South Stand 150ft below to instantaneous death. Levy immediately launches a search for a black armband corporate sponsorship opportunity and the summer window commences.

I felt much more jeopardy and fear in 97/98 in regards to relegation. This season has been more embarrassing than anything else, thanks to a totally hopeless bottom three in the PL preventing anything beyond that. Stats wise, this is the worst. In reality this is probably a close second due to not having a relegation battle beyond a month or so.

To be fair that season we had mostly a shit squad, but we did get to enjoy Klinnsmann and Ginola together.

Additionally, that 6-2 game at Wimbledon, second last game of the season, 2-1 down at half time and we were sat in the relegation zone. Only for Jurgen to bang in 4 goals in the second half in a 6-2 victory and basically ensure we stayed up - that one game made that entire season better than this one so far.

Jurgen scored another beauty a week later at home to Southampton in a 1-1 draw - Le Tiss scored a free kick for them.

Or were you talking about the season where we had to beat Oldham in the penultimate game?

The Wimbledon one. That felt quite real, I was thinking shit we might go down. This season luckily the bottom 3 have been mostly appalling. We can’t afford another season like this again.
