Well seeing as they have reformed, the new club doesn't get any of the past titles. (Or at least that's what I've heard, they'll find some way around that though)

The history of Rangers being transferred to The Rangers is subjective. If you're a blue, nothing changed. If you're a green, or any other colour, The Rangers have won fuck all.

I hear what you're saying, but it's slightly different in that most are behind AFC Wimbledon retaining their trophies due to the cliub being ripped away from the fans. Yet 'The Rangers' are a result of poor money management and mostly followed by cunts.

Yeah, there are differences, but going sort off topic a bit, Wimbledon had a shit support, I mean absolutely fucking awful. They couldn't be arsed to turn up and support their club and the owners clearly felt able to up sticks and move it out of the city altogether because they knew not enough of their fans gave a shit.

Now every fan of a club above League Two wishes them well but a lot of League Two and all non-League fans think of them as proper cunts.

Swings and roundabouts I guess. But Rangers (much as I hate them) have a massive fanbase who are arguably less at fault for the board's financial schenanigans than Wimbledon's inactive fans were for the board's feeling they could just take the club and fuck off.

I'm watching "The Rangers" just now in the first round of The Ramsdens Cup (Ramsdens are ironically, a pawn brokerage). The match is at Brechin and so low in the grand scheme of tv scheduling it's on BBC Alba. Commentary in Gaelic.

I just don't understand certain supporters of certain clubs acting like this is a good thing.. Yeah, sure, Rangers are cunts.. But in the grand scheme of things, this just somehow turns the SPL into even more of a joke. Celtic are going to cruise to the title, and whatever teams qualify for Europe are going to bow out without a challenge (Not that Rangers didn't do that anyway.). Celtic fans can talk all they want about this, but it hurts them in the long run as well.. I couldn't imagine not having a NLD for at least a few years. It takes so much from the game. At the end of the day, the organization did this to themselves and I don't feel bad for them, but this hurts Scotland just as much, if not more than it hurts Rangers. I also want to say that I don't mean any disrespect to the other Scottish clubs, just being realistic that none of them are really near the level that Rangers was prefinancial mess.

I'm a Celtic fan and I'd quite happily never have another game against them. The NLD is different because it's a different kind of rivalry , even yesterday the songs they were singing have no place in society never mid football. They're the scum of the earth , which is why nobody feels sorry for them.

I can vouch for this, Kingstonian are a bit of a second team for me, and they despise AFCW. They got so pissed off with their club buggering off to another town that they took up residence in the London Borough of Kingston forever.

I think some of us need to remember how close THFC were to this 20 years ago...

I watched a bit of the Rangers match and it felt more like FC United of Manchester as opposed to AFC Wimbledon, given the quantity of the away support and poor quality of the football.

More than that, Rangers will still be playing at Ibrox this year with big attendances likely to happen because of the reduced ticket prices and fan backlash against the SPL. As spooky said it is all already incredibly surreal but it is entertaining to watch form afar. Their captain is still a captain at international level ffs!

They still have a good chance of meeting Celtic in the cups, and they were always far superior to the other opposition so not much has changed from the fan perspective regarding the incentive to turn up.

My point is simply that Rangers ran their club into oblivion through the most dire mis-management. While Celtic ran their club legally.

Therefore I dont see why people would be glad if Celtic were also wiped out.......on the basis they had a hostile rivalry.
