Player The Injury & Suspension Thread 2025/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This has been 3 years solid and i think we're on our third medical team in that time. Dont think there is some dastardly sleeper agent pulling the strings. Largely its the same injury prone players, Maddison, Richarlison, Udogie, Bentancur, later stage Ben Davies and a freak injury to Kulusevski. Few others on top of that which is fairly standard
Solanke wasn’t injury prone, Bentancur wasn’t, Kudus wasn’t, I don’t think Kulusevski was either

We can confirm that Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his return from injury.

The Ghana international forward suffered a significant quad injury during our Premier League fixture against Sunderland in January.

He had returned to team training during the past week, however will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery.

We will provide any relevant further updates in due course. We're all with you, Mo

Cursed club.

Post the International Break, it looks like these are the definitely fit players

GK - Kinsky Austin
CB - Romero, Van de Ven, Danso, Dragusin
FB - Porro, Udogie, Spence, Souza
CM - Gray, Bergvall, Gallagher, Palhinha
Fwds - Solanke, Richarlison, Kolo Muani, Tel, Simons

That's 17 fit outfield players

Injury doubt - Sarr (CM), possible shoulder injury, and Vicario (hernia ?)

Then there are players who might have become fit over the 3 week international break - Kudus, Bentancur, Maddison, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Davies - Odobert probably out until next season ?)

Perhaps 2 or 3 of those in bold might be fit for Sunderland or the next match to add to the squad above. But we may need to wait for until a week on Friday for the pre-match press conference to know which players are fit

Sounds like Sarr fit enough for bench - we are already well served in cm with Gallagher, Palhinha, Gray and Bergvall likely fit - 4 players for 2 or max 3 positions is good cover.

Kudus is done for the season. Huge blow as I really thought his return might coincide with an up tick in fortune. Not sure who is going to provide the cutting edge now.

Tottenham Player Scans
➝ Mohammed Kudus - will be scanned today in hope the tendon can recover again without surgery.
➝ Cristian Romero Will also be scanned, hope no MCL or even ACL injury has occurred however low stability in his knee it’s already not looking good for Cuti.

Some good news Bentancur should be ready to train fully this week with the squad and possible return for either the Brighton match (April 18) or Wolves (April 25) : hopefully not brining him back before medics are sure.

This is the problem. I think he walks into the team and he is desperately needed

I think I underestimated how much we needed Kudus back after watching Richy and Muani stink out the place against Sunderland.

We have no experienced creative players with Maddison and Kulusevski out, so Kudus would have been a huge upgrade for us.

Bentancur is a central midfield player but has some creativity and experienced, so if he's bsck in say 2 weeks he could become a key player for us in last few games

So, this has to be sabotage

Club needs to hire an independent investigator to find out who in the club or medical team is compromised

I know the medical team is an easy scapegoat but they aren't responsible for the collision injuries we keep getting. They're also not responsbile for soft tissue injuries really - high performance team should be in charge of that.

Medical team is responsible for treatment and rehab - maybe there was a problem with Kudus' treatment and rehab but it's just as likely it was simply more bad luck.

It's just been an astonishing run of bad luck. The "sabotage" was not hedging against injury in January.
