The National Conference / National League North / National League South Begins tommorrow

For the South, it's looking very tough, 3 conference National Teams dropped South with 1 going to the North. The current thinking is around 7 or 8 teams are fully pro at the level, Torquay probable favourites for the top but everyone is expecting strong performances from Dorking, Dagenham, Worthing, Eastbourne and Maidenhead, added to that Chelmsford have gone fully pro, Salisbury have a new Qatari investor, it's going to be a very keenly fought campaign.

Going to Maidenhead tomorrow, for a tier 6 game the gate price is £20, which is going to be quite pricey to see Chesham get beat, but you live in hope!

NL South is going to be very high quality this season - and super competitive. Add Horsham to your list IMHO as they’re a strong club. Interesting to see how much money is coming into lower league clubs now. Just hope it’s being monitored and we don’t see decent local community clubs going bust. My main hope for the season in NL South is Langney Sports get relegated. Very apt that their ground is right next to an open sewer.
 
My non-league hopes for the season are that Lewes FC can sustain a decent push for promotion to NL South (unlikely) and that Crawley don’t end up non-league. A fair few clubs have done the double relegation from L1 to NL… and last week Crawley were beaten very easily.

Agree that Crawley could be in a bit of trouble this season. Seem to be in a bit of free fall.

It is with great pleasure that WFCSC can announce that we have made an immediate £15,000 donation to assist with the playing budget for the upcoming 25/26 season.

With the well documented headwinds that the main club are currently facing, the WFCSC committee felt that this would be a fantastic gesture, a good use of club funds and hopefully get a few more signings across the line.

A large proportion of these funds have come from the Wembley Fanzones which would not have been possible without the huge commitment and dedication of all our fantastic committee members and volunteers. We would also like to thank the fans for your continued support at various events throughout the year.

Every club mentioned above spends more of their revenue on wages than THFC

That's a fairer point. Bracknell have strengthened and normally run close in the Southern Prem, though Berko beat them first game of the season after promotion, looked a close game though.

Non League teams generally have a backer, I'd be surprised if there were many in tier 1 to tier 4 that aren't reliant on just the gate. It's a very tough environment, the word is some Conference South teams are working on a £2m budget for their playing staff, which is kind of insane...

They drew last night vs Uxbridge too but were unlucky. I know it seems a million miles away from the PL but it’s really not. The owner puts some money in, far more than Levy ever has but it’s not OTT.

Went to Uxbridge for a friendly a few weeks back, it's a great set up there, apparently the last owner left them £1m and they spent it on upgrading the ground, they laid 4G down, sorted out the perimeter, added seating and it looks a lot smarter than it once was, I suppose they've gone the Levy route by investing in the ground. Also they froze their matchday ticket price to just £8, which, if you know that level, is an absolute bargain, so not like Levy..

Had a nice time there, won 3-9 for a £5 ticket for that game it was excellent value.
