Conference South still has an early stages and there's a few standout results.

Dorking lost 3-0 at home to Hampton & Richmond, a team many had predicted to be playing with relegation, Horsham ran Worthing very close but lost 4-3 at home to them, Maidstone and Torquay drew 1-1. Eastbourne surprisingly lost 2-1 at home to Hornchurch.

Chesham got a nice 3-2 win at home to Farnborough but the winning penalty for Chesham looked particularly harsh.

Conference South still seems to be in the strange 'early days' phase.

Horsham surprised the odds to beat Torquay 2-1, Hemel beat Dorking 2-0, Eastbourne lost 2-0 at Bath, all of these are against the odds. Enfield got an impressive draw at Worthing and all 3 relegated Conference National teams lost their matches to Slough, Weston and Hampton.

Hornchurch continue their impressive start with 4 straight wins with a win at home to Farnborough.

Chesham remain unbeaten but a 2nd 0-0 in a row (this time at Tonbridge) is a tad frustrating!

Wish Lewes FC were in this division. So many decent NL clubs. My boys have won 3 on the trot so maybe a promotion push is possible.

Speaking to someone on site today about what happened at Hitchin Town FC at the weekend.

They were talking to the people involved before they left to go to an away match.

Nothing to do with the football club.

Sounds horrific anyway.
Think press reporting is not very detailed at the moment.

Interesting times ahead for the Stones!

EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING CALLED

Wealdstone Football Club can confirm that the Board of Directors has called an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held at 11:00am on Saturday 4th October 2025 in the Main Hall at Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip.

All shareholders of Wealdstone Football Club (2000) Ltd have today been sent formal notification of the meeting via post backed up by email, along with the supporting documents. Any shareholder who has not received an email or doesn't receive their documents in the post, please email [email protected].

Important: This meeting is strictly for shareholders only. Shareholders attending must bring valid photo ID, or can appoint a proxy in line with the instructions included in the official notice.

The EGM has been convened so shareholders can vote on changes to the Club’s Articles of Association. These changes are needed to enable a proposed new investment into the Club by Lakefront Football Partners LLC, led by experienced investor and football supporter Nick Semaca. As we have now entered into a period of exclusivity with Lakefront Football Partners LLC, the purchase of new shares is paused.

Nick has a strong track record in football, having previously invested in clubs in both England and Germany and has already spent time with the Board, the Supporters Club and major shareholders to shape his proposal.

If approved, the investment would help deliver:
  • Long-term financial stability and a sustainable future for the Club.
  • Growth at Grosvenor Vale and beyond, including improving the matchday experience and supporting progress towards a new stadium.
  • Strengthening on the pitch, with continued focus on the first team, Academy and player development
Importantly, the proposed new Articles of Association also include protections for Wealdstone’s identity and heritage, such as the Club’s name, crest, colours and stadium, with the Supporters Club playing a formal role in safeguarding these values

After more than 18 months of discussions with potential investors, the Board is unanimous in recommending this proposal as the best route forward for Wealdstone FC. It has the backing of the Supporters Club and majority shareholder Peter Marsden

The future direction of the Club will be decided by shareholders at the EGM. All shareholders are encouraged to attend in person or vote by proxy.

Results of the meeting will be shared with supporters as soon as possible afterwards.

It sounds like a takeover!
