But what's the point if we lose? Semi or Final now, either round is a loss that has cost a manager his job and a teams reputation is damaged for years.

FA Cup 2010/11 we lost to Fulham in the 4th round
Uefa Cup 2012/13 we lost to Basel in the quarters, not semi.
Also a couple of those League cup finals you said we won, we didn't
