Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

No doubt their Spurs experience was coloured by the shit show we’d become by that point.

They came to play for Poch’s CL finalists ended up being told they were too small or fat to play for Jose’s cloggers.

Then they were sent out on loans

Ndomble arrived at Spurs at start of preseason and had benefit of a full pre-season - played 2 very disappointing 90 minute matches before being said to be 'injured' for 2 matches. Never completed 90 mins for Poch in any of the matches before he was sacked (November ?) constantly looking unfit.

Lo Celso arrived 2 weeks after season started (holiday after international matches) declared injured so in sick bay until 10 days before international break in November, so played about 20 minutes off the bench. Defied advice that he was not 100% fit to go away to Argentina to play 2 full 90 minute matches ,,,,, to come back injured and injured until a month or so into Jose reign.

So neither player showed any interest in playing for Poch in the circa 3 months of the season before he was sacked, nor much interest in playing for Spurs during their 4 years at Spurs - only interested in being paid. Lo Celso loved the sick bay though

Both disastrous signings and a waste of £100m+ (excluding wages)

Yeah but it was still early on in their adaptation to English football when Poch was sacked, so imo jury out on how it would have gone.

With any luck this will be the wake up call that the board and Levy needs to sign experienced players.

Reaching the champions league final should have been just that, but instead they thought Kane, Son, Eriksen and Dele could carry the team, and signings like gedson were good enough.

Give Ange the players and he will make us title contenders.
Are you kidding me. Give your head a wobble. Levy has created income streams to offset the need to buy players so we can qualify for Champions League.

I’ve booked myself a ridiculously busy morning and early afternoon tomorrow and really need an earlyish night.

So as we head into our Tottenham Hotspur Thursday everybody needs to put on their lucky boxer shorts, briefs, swimming trunks, pants, French knickers, posing pouches, g strings or mankinins and be as positive as you fucking can.

This is the time! Seize the day!!!! The big day is almost upon us

THIS THURSDAY WEAR YOUR LUCKY UNDERWEAR WITH PRIDE!!!

COYS.

Tell me which ever players arrived from outside UK so ill prepared ?

For example Van de Ven whose transfer was announced on 8 August with his debut on 13 August - after he arrived in London from playing in Germany he had time for a couple of training sessions. And played very well on his debut.

Ndomble had about 6 or 8 weeks between start of preseason and flunking his debut : and never improved.

Lo Celso spent about 3 months in sick bay or recovering (plus of course 20 mins off bench) ..... and of course 2 weeks with Argentina playing 2 full matches inside those first 3 months. didn;t change much afterwards

Players can take half a season to get up to speed. Especially under Poch.

Strangely Harry Kane having just 7 PL starts before Poch came, had zero problem..... once Poch decided to trust him in PL (which was about 6 weeks after start of the season).

Dele coming from Lesgue 1 had no problems adjusting to PL or Poch.

Eric Dier was transferred from Portugal's Sporting, making his debut in first match of season as RB (playing out of position) for Poch and scored on his debut.

Real answer is Ndomble and Lo Celso showed their true self to :Poch and never changed after. Horrendously poor transfers incapable or unwilling to make the grade at Spurs : loved the money though. Just not willing to put the effort in

Well, spurs have spent vast amounts of money on players, but we continuously buy the wrong players.

Like it or not, Levy is a lifelong Spurs fan and loves the club and is desperate to win. BUT, as has been pointed out by ex staff, he gets too involved and thinks he knows more than the coaches and staff (paraphrasing Tim Sherwood here). His ego wants to be making all of the footballing decisions.

Anyone who is watching The Studio with Seth Rogan will see a lot of parallels with Levy and Seth's character. He means well and has good intentions, but fucks everything up!

Slightly different for domestic players and players from other countries

Must say I did like his response yesterday to the Sour Old Wenger suggestion that all of a sudden winning the EL shouldn't qualify anyone for the CL.
To be fair it's not really all of a sudden, according to Wikipedia;

More recently, clubs that are knocked out of the qualifying round and (prior to 2024–25) the group stage of the Champions League can also join the UEFA Europa League, at different stages (see below). Formerly, the reigning champions qualified for the Europa League to defend their title, but since 2015 they qualify for the Champions League. From the 2024–25 season, the winner of the Europa League can no longer defend their title as they automatically qualify for the Champions League league phase and teams cannot be transferred from that phase to the Europa League.

...yes, but it's no coincidence that the KFC chose to announce his views just before our game, is it?

I saw a clip of the interview and the host asked him the question directly in the context of the league positions of Manchester United and ourselves. Did you want him to say ''no comment''?
What? The KFC is Wenger, mate. Apologies for the confusion, but I thought that writing it out in full might lead to a court case. I'll leave everyone to decide for themselves what KFC stands for - and it's not a bucket of chicken bits.
