I can not believe how long people clung to that shit about all our players. We had near full teams for some shameful performances this season.

On a serious note positives .
1 the biggest positive is there is now no delusion as to the nature of ENIC/Levy and the club. We are a shitshow, you would have to live on Pluto to think Levy and the board are doing a good job. We need rid of this shower of cunts.
2 Bergvall, Gray, Moore, Odobert all given chances at different times and clearly a future for all of them.
3 Any manager coming in who is even half good will be given time as they will look like a saviour.

I'll say this and then take cover. There would have been three (realistic) goals going into the season. Clear out marginal and older players, develop young players who might become high contributors, and finish in the top six. Two of the three were accomplished and one (top six) was missed by a mile. There is still some possibility because of the week Europa field of even stumbling into a trophy. We also now have two seasons of Postecoglou's system and an obvious understanding of the parts that work and don't. In fact, we know enough that he could set about modifying it, but I don't think he has accepted there is a need for that. Get a more pragmatic manager in next season and top six should be achievable and with the right transfers top four reasonably soon. To quote Winston Churchill, "This is not the beginning of the end, but the end of the beginning."
