Then the two mentioned have really got to step up. We aren't the make a wish foundation
True, and there also two transfer windows a season
being undercoached and put in the worst system known to man will defo cause all sorts of problems, especially when youve been hammered with that shit for two years. confidence is massive in football, even the best players can look shit when their confidence is on the floor. Our players haven't just started playing football mate
You might be poorly coached but that never explains the basic errors, or sloppiness.
I suspect without any basis for saying so,that 4 or 5 players from our current squad will be gone by next summer. Maybe more.

end of the day, its up to frank, he should be allowed to assess once he has everyone together and sees what they are like in games in training.
oh without a doubt, thats only natural, but hes also wise enough to realise weve played in a system for two years where the only player that looked good in it was VDV.Not saying it won't be in the slightest. I just think he might have already formed a view.

Nope but we could try and offer Bissouma to West HamWe definitely wanted him before but I wonder if his poor season has put us off.
Similar to Bissouma, Luiz is unbelievable on a going day! But also he can let games pass him by and look uninterested at times. So are we replacing Bissouma with another Bissouma?

Blatant I’m a slaphead thinking of getting a syrup post .
The pure 6 obsession is silly in my book. Everyone wants an elite 6. They are very rare. There are not many guys who can play as a solo 6 with everyone else bombing forward. Even the best ones of the most recent generation (Rodri, Busquets, and Casemiro) have had excellent midfield companions who don’t give the ball away cheaply as well as generous referees who don’t give them nearly the yellow cards they deserve for tactical fouls. That’s why the 4-2-3-1 became more popular because it gives you two players who can both be more all rounders or can complement each other. It’s less of a need for me since we won’t be playing suicidal Ange ball.
Completely agree, it's a bit of a nonsense because not only do very few teams actually utilise a specialist '6' in the modern game, but the ones that have stand out players in those roles such as the trio you've mentioned are actually exceptional players predominantly because of their ball playing ability, alongside a good reading of the game defensively. The pure 6 obsession is silly in my book. Worthy of its own Instagram account!

Call a DM a 4 or a 6 and I’m sure Kante would be the first name on many pairs of lips. Definitely the first name I think of when talking defensive midfielders that massively effected the game. Its funny because one of the most impactful defensive players in midfield of the last generation would be Kante who wouldn't even be called a 6 by most people, yet he would do the work of 3 players in terms of defensive contributions.
