What are people's thoughts? I think we lack an elite striker and both Solanke and Richarlsion would be quality back up strikers.

if Frank can get Dom firing and keep Richy fit it's fine

Need to cut our losses. We’ve been through this before. Can’t rely on him to stay fit, he doesn’t, then we are left with one striker for long periods of the season.

Serious clubs take the hit and move him on by any means and sign a player who can stay for and challenge Solanke to be the main man.

I mean, it’s not easy to move highly paid PL players in the current market if they don’t want to go to Saudi. I’m surprised he wants to stay with the WC looming and be 2nd banana. Maybe he thinks he will get enough game time.

Oh well, there goes the Wharton idea

As if that was ever real in the first place

I think the paulinha option is perhaps more appealing on price for the club.
Really doubt there has been extra investment, and we wont commit to too many expensive signings even if, it does improve us overnight.
Club has hired a manager where, they can recruit youngsters who, are some years oof their best which he can polish up.

The Sun (I know I know) is reporting that Wharton will stay another year at palace and that pool want to sign him next summer. Obviously a lot of stuff can happen in a year but pool are an exceptionally well run club so wouldn't surprise me that they do already have thoughts as to what they do over next 1-2 years in transfer market.

Wharton

A weaker Newcastle helps us considerably with CL qualification.
If a strong Toon are taking points off City, Woolwich, Chelsea, Liverpool etc then this is also desirable for an improving THFC.

Please think about it.

For Spurs to win the league we need more competition; not one or two elite clubs killing the competition by continually taking the best players from those attempting to catch up.

It's why everyone is currently loving watching Yanited failing.

This was their 1990's early 2000's M.O.

I wouldn't mind letting Vuskovic have a crack at the DM position. Kid looks like he could play anywhere.

Yes, Daniel

We must’ve withdrawn our bid for MGW as it’s clearly going nowhere currently.

Either we’ve been scared into pulling out or we’re revisiting later in the window. But if the player isn’t kicking up a fuss and happy to play along then he can’t be that desperate to move either at the moment.
