Oh well, there goes the Wharton idea
As if that was ever real in the first place

What are people's thoughts? I think we lack an elite striker and both Solanke and Richarlsion would be quality back up strikers.
if Frank can get Dom firing and keep Richy fit it's fine

I mean, it’s not easy to move highly paid PL players in the current market if they don’t want to go to Saudi. I’m surprised he wants to stay with the WC looming and be 2nd banana. Maybe he thinks he will get enough game time.Need to cut our losses. We’ve been through this before. Can’t rely on him to stay fit, he doesn’t, then we are left with one striker for long periods of the season.
Serious clubs take the hit and move him on by any means and sign a player who can stay for and challenge Solanke to be the main man.

Hackney isn’t a bad shout. He’s going to be a good player, you can see it.I would really just take the gamble on Hackney. Their data profile is so similar. If it doesn’t work, then have a go next summer for Wharton again.
The Sun (I know I know) is reporting that Wharton will stay another year at palace and that pool want to sign him next summer. Obviously a lot of stuff can happen in a year but pool are an exceptionally well run club so wouldn't surprise me that they do already have thoughts as to what they do over next 1-2 years in transfer market.
Kudus, Takai, Gibbs-White, Striker, LWF, Palinha for a year or two and I think I'm alright with that window.
Davies, Bissouma, Richarlison, Son (sad to be typing that) to leave and usher in the new era with depth, youth and quality.
If a strong Toon are taking points off City, Woolwich, Chelsea, Liverpool etc then this is also desirable for an improving THFC.A weaker Newcastle helps us considerably with CL qualification.
If you don't have a decent DM and you don't buy one then you have to manufacture one. Vuskovic is definitely worth a crack, could be a gun.
I wouldn't mind letting Vuskovic have a crack at the DM position. Kid looks like he could play anywhere.
