I’m with you on simons (ideally him and MGW); he seems like the perfect opportunity right now- incredible talent, young enough to fit in with the club’s youth project yet already experienced enough to contribute now, potential longterm replacement on the left for Son and can play centrally so can rotate for or eventually replace Maddison, club wants to sell and the fee touted in the press isn’t outrageous. Checks so many boxes.
Experience I agree with but if your experience is making the team worse when they play then it’s utterly pointless. Ben is never going to play centre back for us so if he does play he’ll be left back. He’s a wingers dream nowadays. Sonny just looks shot to fuck and it’s been going on for a while. We can’t hold on to these players now. Time to move on.
