I generally don't follow preseason, anyway. The season is long enough.
I'd never heard of him until this window. But 30 is old. I wouldn't say Casemiro was outstanding (if above average). Also, I don't want to watch another back-passer or plodder who interrupts counters ever again. I definitely remember watching him and thinking how the fuck did he escape a booking there. The fact that he still led the league in bookings is alarming but also the fact that he got so many yellows and still performed how he did is reassuring.
He's the exact type of player we need though if we are speaking about his attributes and nothing else.
