I see a lot of the 'noise' right now is why doesn't MGW kick up a stink (like Gorkeres or Isak did) to force the move through...

...and I think the answer is obvious.

MGW is merely proving the 'No Dickheads' philosophy we employ these days!

I'm glad he's not an arsehole.

Cuti, Bentancur and Richie can be 'cunts' but that's ON the pitch!

The mure MGW plays by the rules, the likelier we are to get him.

Maryanakis won't have a leg to stand on... (Mainly due to gout I imagine!)
Same here...why anyone would want another overpaid cunt to come in and down tools on a whim is beyond me.

We've had our fair share of this ilk over the years and I for one am glad he appears to have a smattering of decency about him.

I think for a big club who apparently wants to Compete on all fronts, going into the season with tel and Odobert as our LW options is pretty horrendous. Not that they’re bad players, or they can’t improve but from what we’ve seen of them they’re not of standard required to be starting for a top club.

I'd concur that our starting LW spot is a concern for me. I don't concur to the melodrama of the word "horrendous" or that it represents a depth issue specifically.

There’s no “only spurs” myth, we go into every season short of quality in multiple areas. Our squad is nowhere near as good as Woolwich or Liverpool’s so not sure bringing them up as examples helps your point much.

Oh there is (and it does)..... We were getting the same shit from our fans when our squad WAS better than both.

Fans are so often oblivious to the plights of the team they compare us to.

However; you seem to be replying on the basis that I'm completely content with the make-up of our squad... I'm not.

He probably was good in the same amount of games than he was compared to the rest of our players, difference with him is that it came in a 2 month spell, I said at the time it was always going to drop off because the standards were on the floor last season and since no-one was really trying he was bound to follow suit.
He was our best player during our worst run of form of the season when most other senior players in the team were absolutely fatigued. I just think that period overrated him. It wasn't easy to be the best of a bad bunch.

From MArch onwards when we'd most our players back, Spence never stood out and put in some shocking performances.

I hope I'm being harsh on him and he can push Porro and Udogie next season but I've a feeling he's nowhere near their level and the fall back will be huge when he comes in.

That's a good point actually Bill and I'm glad you brought it up. It kinda shits all over the idea that we don't have an illustrious history and are somehow over achieving with ENIC.

The general point still stands though. The poster who said we have never signed players of the quality or standard of Isak was quite clearly talking out of his ass and showed a total disregard to our past.

And who are you suggesting should be our 2025 Greaves?

Levy trying to get in this time around

Do you ever talk about football or tactics or players or transfer targets or anything that’s not just levy? The club is more than just levy. You must bore yourself sometimes..

It's not what anyone wants to hear, but the club has made biggish investments in both Tel and Odobert.

I'm not saying it's a good excuse but they'll at least want to see if they can get something out of the investment.

No, imo thats different.

We have got our cock out and forest are laughing at it and MGW don't want it enough to push for the move.

??? ..........What a load of crap.

They're angry and being brattish.

Besides; you said (in that OG analogy) we don't have a cock.

Now you're saying "We have got our cock out, but.........."

You're just moving the goalposts.

it's a weird one, i didn't know a club could just refuse if a release clause is met. pretty wild as per rules...

  • Selling Club's Option:
While the release clause is met, the selling club is not automatically obligated to let the player leave. They can refuse to release the player if they believe the clause is invalid or if they believe the player is too valuable to let go.

  • Dispute Resolution:
In the event of a dispute, FIFA regulations or the rules of the relevant league (like the Premier League) would likely come into play. This could involve arbitration, where an independent body would assess the situation and make a decision.

  • Potential Outcomes:
The arbitration could result in the buying club being allowed to speak to the player, or it could rule in favor of the selling club, potentially forcing the buying club to negotiate a higher fee or abandon the transfer.

should imagine forest will simply keep him, and if we take issue then we can take it further legally by which it will probably be past the transfer window anyway

No, he's just a shit-stirrer. He's posted 200 times in this thread over the last couple of days, and everything has just been about Levy

He celebrates when we lose and goes MIA when we win. That European triumph really hurt him

Players like those two would be in the stands most weeks at the serious clubs and only get the odd appearance in a cup match, that either of them could feasibly be our starting LW is extremely alarming. There's nothing wrong with signing young talent but players of that profile shouldn't be relied upon as core players at this stage of their careers, especially as they have done nothing exceptional to this point.
