Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

These frauds are just incredible.

The thing is they're more exposed than ever this summer after the 17th placed finish and the likes of Man United in particular.

United, after losing the final, have acted like winners and gone out and brought in real quality. Yet we do fuck all when you consider all that and the fact we've lost Kane, Son and now Maddison.

Its a very startling comparison and drives home the utter lack of ambition from Levy and Co.

The absolute state of it.

is there any scenario where we land isak? it's not something i'd have even entertained a few weeks ago but the longer he's frozen out the more desperate everyone gets. maybe a loan? can liverpool still spend big without any outgoings? anyway...

Yes we buy Elliot, they buy Isak.

Need to take a page out of Sheffield Wednesday fans book.
A very visual protest took place today where their fans didn't come out to their seats for the first 5 minutes.
It gets the medias attention and makes the feelings of the fans unanimously know.

Levy will probably have his goons trying to force fans to their seats to avoid embarrassment, but we should be able to resits.

Does Levy really think this current squad can get a top 6 finish and progress in CL?

I'd bite your hand off for top 10 right now because I just don't see it with this attack. Losing Maddison has killed us. We are properly fucked if we don't bring in a decent alternative.

We will be stodgy and concede less with Frank's system + Palhinha but without goals we probably end up somewhere between 10th-15th.

The more quotes and interviews I see the more worried I get. This just feels like a mess. All the reports about Frank going through the players he wanted during the interview process lol another load of Ali gold nonsense!

Sounds like Frank is 2 months into the job and the club still don't know what he wants. We really have to replace Lange anyway, its been a total disaster since he's come in. Its like he's just muddied the waters and made the whole process of signing and selling players unnecessarily complicated.

Reminds me of that Damien Comolli spoofer we had who ruined Jol's team and turned our transfer strategy into a joke. It was so refreshing when Harry came in and said he wanted to make all the transfer decision. Too many of these cooks in the kitchen and its never worked for us.
At least he signed us a few good players. More than this Lange bluffer can say.

Serious question. Can you explain how it is early in its cycle. Most of this squad 3 or more seasons.
Vic Udogie, VDV are entering their 3rd seasons. Porro 4th, Romero 5th.
Bentancur 5th, Biss 4th, Sarr 4th, Kulu 5th, Johnson 3rd, Richy 4th. We've only added 2 players this summer. Its a genuine question. It feels like the window for this cycle is now.
There’s no set start or end to cycles but every cycle starts with pre-existing players. No one starts from scratch.

I think Lange came in with a mission to sign the best young players in Europe. He explicitly said we want to become a destination. Therefore I would say his first summer last year marks the start of a new cycle.

During this cycle we have bought in Yang, Gray, Odobert, Tel, Kinsky, and Bergvall who are all extremely early in their professional development. That is a real shift in intensity compared to what came before. He has also reorganised the back room staff, including making sure there is someone focused on pathways for young players.

Players like Danso, Palhinha, and Kudus are mid or late career and all bring PL experience. They all seem to be very reliable performers.

But again, this is my reading of the situation and there’s no objective truth to that question.

You really need to stop dealing in facts mate. Stick to pompous utterly bogus intellectually dishonest platitudes that make our rudderless leadership look competent. Then it all makes sense.
