I think Palace are sending out a message that they are happy to keep him. They clearly don't want to sell unless they get a good price. Otherwise they wouldn't be risking their asset.

They are Palaces players and it’s backing the manager, it’s also both Ghuei and Eze showing respect and not downing tools. It’s a risk but all football has injury risk.

We’ve been looking at eze since last summer , his agents have a box at spurs , he had a release clause , this should be a relatively easy deal to complete but here we are 2 weeks till window shuts , going into 2nd game of the season and the longer it goes on the harder the deal will be to do . Palace don’t have to sell .

Yup. Apparently his release clause is 68m and our offer is 55m. So yeah, we are trying to low ball hence why no offer is accepted yet
