With regards to songs for Eze best stick with the one he already has i.e. 'eze's on fire' much prefer something with a bit of bounce to get the crowd going rather than a sleepy ballad.

Hopefully we're not singing 'the one that got away ' or I predict a riot.

Did you not like my Eze good, Eze good, is Eberechi good song then?

A great philosopher once wrote naughty, naughty, very naughty.

Never noticed but hes got some big ol feet on him for a tiny fella.
You know what they say about big feet?

so what window rating are we thinking if it's Eze and no one else?

Would be three really decent signings in Kudus , Eze and Palhina

But as always would be leaving us short in key areas
On the basis that 0 would equate to signing nobody and weakening the squad, to 10 meaning an absolute baller where we addressed every need and expect a title challenge I'd think around 5.5 would be about right...Which tbf would be higher than any previous window I've rated.

Not ideal signing no defender and keeping Ben Davies on. Hard to go above a 6. But them 3 signings are great so I'd go 6. Just annoying leaving ourselves incredibly short in that full back spot.

If one of the fullbacks (Porro, Udogie, Spence) get a long term injury then we are in the trenches. We'll have to play the same 2 every game and gut them until another one gets injured.

Belgian reporter, seems fairly reliable

Unlocks Eze move according to other reports

Reporter is another aggregator but closer to Romano than some others.
Palace wanting Eze to play a against a side who were semi pro a couple of years ago is madness

£85m in 3 years. Here We Go.

God, if we make the Eze signing, I also hope Shadydan Shadydan makes a comeback post with all the quotes of those saying it would never happen.

You know he has kept the receipts

6 is probably where I'd be at too and agree with all of the above

Hang on, hang on.
Has he been MIA since all the Eze talk started?
Maybe he actually IS Daniel Levy and has been busy. Maybe he cancelled his broadband to pay for the fee?

We need to sort Eze out before he plays in the Conference League
Not really. Won't be cup tied.

Well, Xhaka was not available and "important to project" as well... Ten Haag said it very clearly.

But that being said, I do not want another CB in. I mean I am actively against it.
We have starters of VDV and Romero. We have Danso to play back 3. We have soon Radu returning from injury. And then as 5th option either Davies or Vuskovic or Takai. That is enough. Even if we either loan out Vuskovic or Takai.

We need a fullback and midfielder much more than CB.

Savinho might turn out to be better than Rodrygo.

It’s about the here and now and right now Eze is one of the best AM’s in the whole league. We are paying for a finished product which is nice.
"Finished product" is such a dirty word at our club. I'm glad it's beginning to become accepted a bit more freely, as hearing that phrase alone gets me hot underneath the collar :ledleylick:

It looks like Eze is going to happen which would be a great signing in his prime. I am keen to see him in the ten role. People say he's not disciplined enough, offers nothing off the ball etc. but with all due respect to Palace we are likely to have more ball in the majority of our games than they would likely see in the majority of theirs. Also, he is a professional football player. I am sure he can adapt and put a shift in when we are up against teams who will have more possession than us. This is a big season for Eze. He is going to be 28 at the next World Cup and you could argue this is his one and only opportunity to not just be in a squad but play a key role in a World Cup. He is going to want to ball week in week out and if he does it in the Champions League too, then Tuchel will find it difficult to ignore him. To summarise, if we can get this over the line, he will smash this season up big time.

There is a Frank factor to consider in this though.

Unlike the Greek Fraud, Frank won't just roll out the same system regardless of available personnel until everything breaks.

If Udogie was injured for a long period we would see much smarter rotation of Spence, for example, with regular changes in game and tweaks to the system when he's not on the pitch (e.g. Danso/VDV/Davies/Gray used in lop-sided defences etc.).

Signing both Kudus + Eze wouldn't have been in the realms of possibility in my view before this window. After MGW, we knew the cash was there. Adding Savinho on top would be insane. You'd have to say fair play if Levy delivered that.
