Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There’s no way to spin this. It’s embarrassing. Utterly embarrassing. Not only that it happened in this instance when we almost had this deal across the finish line whether that’s true or not, and then lose him to the scum.
It was embarrassing enough when we lost MGW to all that garbage a month ago.
It’s embarrassing how devastatingly thin this team currently is and has continually been let down in the market. We’re gonna hear them spin all kinds of things about how difficult it was, etc. and while all those things are certainly true, we all knew what the deficiencies were going into this year.
We’ve made truly one relevant signing at this point in the window. It’s unforgivable.
The time to push on was early in the summer to capitalize on the good feelings of winning the trophy. Now the board’s negligence as this team woefully thin and they’re going to ask us to be patient or tell us how much they tried, etc..

I'm really not that annoyed by not getting Eze , good player he is it's a mortal blow like missing out on a supreme talent .
It's just the nature of it, and another massive embarrassment,
how do ENIC keep finding new and exciting ways to make us the joke of the league? It's really really pissed me off how bad the fans are being treated

I really shouldn't care, I keep saying I should just quit spurs while ENIC are in charge and go back to watching NBA full time. all I was interested in pre the age of 12

I'm close, I literally hate ENIC which spells over into me unfortunately kinda hating the club, makes me miserable more often than not
stick to NBA mate

Trouble is all the decent attacking midfielders have now moved or it’s too late in the window to get those left so their teams won’t want to sell.

I’m starting to suspect there wasn’t any intention to bring one in at all.
Bingo.

Poor Frank will have to roll out the same thing every manager has to.

"Look, we know we needed a bit more strength in the squad, but it was a difficult summer. The club have been great and worked really hard to get signings over the line, but it proved too difficult. I'm really happy with the squad and feel like we can achieve what we set out to at the start of the season. A big thanks to Daniel and Johan, not an easy job, but I'm very happy with them".

Bookmark this. You know it's coming in some shitty variation.

Have a look at the responses when I said I think we are the ones that messed up on the MGW deal. it was a bunch of zombies telling me that it will still go through, how Levy will own that fat Greek owner and then a bunch of memes Levy owning the Forest owner. I thought "wow people are fucking brainwashed"

Then the Savinho and Eze stories came out and I thought "people surely are not going to fall for this?" But low and behold the majority did.

It scary how a fanbase can get screwed time and time again and they just jump on to the next story and literally forget wtf has happened previously. Even when I said I don't think either will happen I got responses about "ohhh I'm gonna quote this message" blah blah blah. Like how thick as pig shit do you have to be to conned so many times.
Stockholm Syndrome.

The only way Levy can redeem himself now, and I mean the only way, is to pay up for Sav and give City what they want.

That deal is there to be done, and although it would of been close imo, I'd of just about picked him over Eze if choosing between them

He won’t because he doesn’t want to spend the money to buy the players. This is the same as usual. I would be hugely surprised if we bring anyone else in now. Reckon we’ve fucked it either on purpose or though ineptitude.

He'd agreed terms. Whether you only believe something until it's done is on you, but Ornstein is saying they agreed terms a long ago, he wanted the move. But feet dragging has led to this. Woolwich weren't coming in had Havertz not got injured.

2/3 days he's been out and they move quickly. Everyone and their gran knew Son was off long before he did, Madders got injured weeks ago, and we've still signed fucking no one.

How you can look at this situation and not think that the club have royally fucked up, is beyond comprehension.
You're assuming he agreed terms. But even if he did, he's now gone back on that and apparently chosen Woolwich instead.

The club could well have fucked up but Eze could keep his word to us and tell Palace/us to sort themselves out.

If Eze wants to come to us, he will.
If he doesn't, he won't.

I won't lose sleep over a player that doesn't want to play for us.

I think our mistake has been chasing the wrong targets. I mean that.

There was talk before the approach to Eze that he would prefer a love to Woolwich. Give a deadline, offer a fair price. Then walk if no deal.

We have failed to do our homework and in that regard, it's must do very much better.

But the Exe chase had red flags all the way in my opinion, although up until the Havertz news, I thought it would happen.

Now however, I'm not going to believe anything posted on here until I see a player announced as having signed.

There is no authority, and no ITKs.

Someone please make it make sense.
We spunk 40 mil the likes of Tel and Gray yet haggle over pennies to get a proven Prem player like Eze who would 100% walk into the first eleven and improve us.

Now we have 12 days or so left in the window - who do we actually get or are Levy & co serious about leaving Frank with this squad?
