What for actually doing the job he's paid for? No chance! The most oft reaction he gets from me at the stadium 🏟 is one of indifference.

The role of Boards/owners should be one of to spend and not be heard, let the fans do their stuff of getting behind the team on the field.....and remember no half and half scarves.

Plus, wages are known to be better indicators for success on the pitch than transfer fees so we might get a better idea of what teams are really spending and how that looks for translation to winning

Read that too. The deal is reportedly 5 years plus a 2 year option, so we can potentially have him wrapped up until he’s 30, and the sell on clause enabled us to get him below RB’s minimum price reportedly. Looks like great business!

My brother, we are paying Simons 10m a year for 5 years but could be up to 7.

This is by far the buggest transfer commitment in ENIC history…club history.

And as it should be, that’s what it takes to get players like this. Let’s give the club credit for it, instead of pretending we got him on the cheap.
